Mini reveals UK-exclusive Shadow Edition for Countryman and Clubman

MANILA: British carmaker Mini announced the release of a  new Shadow Edition for the Mini Countryman and Mini Clubman, exclusively designed for the UK market.

The new Shadow Edition involves a different standard specification in both models, along with edition-exclusive bonnet style and decals.

The new Shadow Edition features a Midnight Black Metallic exterior body paint, which contrasts with the silver roof and mirror caps, as well as a piano black exterior that provides a polished and dynamic appearance.

Customers can select between the Cooper S and Cooper engines, available in both automatic and manual transmission, with the All4 Plug-in-Hybrid present on the Mini Countryman.

The Shadow Edition gets LED rear and front lights, a John Cooper Works aerodynamic kit that includes a JCW spoiler, and 19-inch John Cooper Works Circuit Spoke alloy wheels.

The special edition includes a graphic on the A-panel and the bonnet, while the lower roof has a Shadow emblem. Black roof rails come standard for customers who will choose the Mini Countryman, and an alternative for those selecting the Mini Clubman.

For its interior, the Shadow Edition has a piano black trim and anthracite headlining. Both the tread plates and dash trim include additional graphics.

The model also features a sports leather steering wheel with contrast stitching in Chili Red as well as John Cooper Works sport seats.

The Shadow Edition is also fitted with the Interior Lights Pack and features Mini Driving modes that enable drivers to shift between Green, Mid, and Sport settings. It also has rear park distance control, Bluetooth with USB audio, and the new 5.5-inch Digital Display Cockpit.

Meanwhile, the Mini Excitement Pack, includes LED mood lighting and Mini logo projection; the Navigation Pack provides Real Time Traffic Information (RTTI), an 8.8-inch display with Mini Navigation, Intelligent Emergency Calling and Apple CarPlay as standard.

The Comfort Plus Pack, Comfort Pack, and Navigation Plus Pack, including Head Up Display and Wireless Charging, are optional. 

Currently, the Mini Shadow Edition can be ordered from retailers in the UK alone, and these vehicles are scheduled for delivery in April 2021.
