New BMW X2 XDrive25e features now unveiled

MANILA: The new BMW X2 XDrive25e has spectacular equipment and modern design features which are all available for the traditionally powered variants of the compact Sports Activity Coupe (SAC) model. The said BMW model is expected to roll out in the market in July 2020.

In terms of its exterior, the new BMW model boasts of its Phytonic Blue metallic car color and new front design with rigid surfaces. Its standard LED headlights now come with incorporated bad-weather light.

The new BMW X2 XDrive25E is fully equipped with 17-inch alloy wheels, hybrid-specific readouts shown on its control display, real-time traffic details, auxiliary air conditioning, and two-zone climate control. The vehicle can be ordered in numerous options such as M Sport X, M Sport, Advantage Plus, and Advantage trims, and all of these can be availed for the plug-in hybrid model.

The new BMW model possesses model-specific harmonization of the chassis and body structure. Storage space is sufficient because of the positioning of the high-voltage battery beneath the rear seat bench. Due to the folding backrests, there is limitless variability. The luggage compartment capacity can also be improved from 410 to 1,290 liters.

The new BMW X2 XDrive25e also features an exceptional combination of electrified drive technology, flexible sportiness, and extrovert design.

Drive portfolio varies from high-performance three-cylinder gasoline and modern four-cylinder diesel engines, and the new plug-in hybrid systems to the BMW X2 M35i have a maximum output of 306 hp. The fourth and latest generation eDrive technology has also been developed on the plug-in hybrid models of the auto brand.

Along with this, the three-cylinder combustion engine, which brings torque to the front wheels and the electric motor that powers the rear wheels, generate an output of 220 hp and establishes a hybrid all-wheel-drive configuration. The new BMW X2 XDrive25e operates from a standing start to 100 kph in 6.8 seconds.

The broad range of BMW Charging enhances comfort, and this allows the driver to travel emissions-free with the electric motor only. The optional BMW I Wallbox enables full charging of the high-voltage battery in 3.2 hours. Furthermore, the BMW Charging card provides more convenient access to the largest group of public charging stations in the world.

The new BMW X2 XDrive25e also allows electric driving using three operating modes. For the Auto eDrive default setting, the intelligent drive system guarantees maximum interaction between two power units in all driving scenarios. The Save Battery mode allows the driver to save the battery capacity for future use when driving in fully electric mode. On the other hand, the Max eDrive mode serves for optimum use of the electric drive to a speed of 135 kph.
