Nissan 370Z Nismo revealed at 2018 PIMS

MANILA: Remember the Nissan Z that was first introduced back in 2009? The car has now returned to the Philippines automobile circuit, and what better platform to do so than the 2018 PIMS.

The 2018 PIMS has now seen the launch of the 370Z Nismo along with the other Nismo gang, which includes the Juke Nismo and GT-R Nismo. However, the standard 370Z will also be offered.

On the aesthetics, the new Nissan 370Z Nismo has many cosmetic upgrades over what we have known. The front and rear bumpers are very aggressive and have the addition of a red stripe on the lower skirt that extends all along the sides. The same colour strip is given on the chrome ORVM mirror. The designing haul has even seen the addition of new 19-inch Ray-forged alloy wheels that have the Nismo badge and sports tyres.

Inside the cabin, the addition of Nismo-focused bits makes it very different from the standard 370Z. The driver’s cockpit is very inclined to the Nismo gauges, including the housing. Even the seats are Nismo bucket types.

Under the hood, it will be powered by a V6, 3.7-litre naturally-aspirated engine that can put a maximum power of 350 PS along with a peak torque of 374 Nm. For the transmission, Nissan will offer both the 7-speed automatic as well as the 6-speed manual.

Further, the riding dynamics of the 370Z Nismo will be enhanced with the help of stiffer suspension with newer shockers along with larger stabilisers. Even for the braking, there would be larger Nismo ventilated brake rotors. On the contrary, the company will be offering the standard 370Z with a lower power production of 337 PS and 365 Nm.

Having said all of it, Nissan Philippines has still not given a date when the 370Z Nismo will make its way to the dealerships. Perhaps, the takers would have to wait until next year. Plus, the pricing has not been revealed too.
