Nissan cancels NISMO Festival 2025

MANILA: This year’s NISMO Festival will no longer push through.

In a statement, Nissan Motor Company Limited said  the decision (made with Nissan Motorsports and Customizing Company [NMC>) to cancel the much-anticipated event was made after a re-evaluation of the festival’s content and operations.

“Nissan and NMC will take this opportunity to reassess the future direction of the NISMO Festival, with the aim of relaunching it as an even more engaging experience for fans,” the Japanese automaker explained.

Traditionally organized and operated by NMC employees, the NISMO Festival serves as a celebration of Nissan’s motorsports activities together with fans.

To recall, Nissan has taken various recovery measures under the Re:Nissan strategy. This initiative includes restructuring of manufacturing bases, trimming down of manpower, and redefining product strategy.

The last time that the NISMO Festival was cancelled in 2020 — during the height of the COVID-19 global pandemic.
