Orders books for the MINI 60 Years Edition are open in the Philippines

MANILA: In the commemoration of its 60th anniversary, Mini, the British automaker released the special Mini 60 Years Edition, earlier this year. Following a long wait, the Filipinos now finally have the special edition of the small car icon as British United Automobiles Inc., the official distributor of Mini cars in the Philippines has started accepting bookings for the unique Mini 60 Years Edition.

Getting straight to the special edition, the exterior of the Mini 60 Years Edition comes dipped in the British Racing Green color. According to the automaker, the paint scheme was finalised after taking inspiration from the Mini of the 60s and the icon's long legacy. In case the British Racing Green is not your cup of tea, the Mini 60 Years Edition is also available in the Midnight Black finish. You will also find accents and elements of the exterior color inside the car, which results in a striking and very unique melody.

While the white roof side view mirrors provide the car with a contrasting element, the black bonnet stripes with Aspen White and British Oak pinstripes make the Mini 60 Years Edition sporty and easy to recognise. The side profile of this special edition is bestowed by the two-tone 17-inch alloy wheels that feature a Dark Spectre Grey finish. Moreover, the Mini 60 Years Edition also flaunts puddle lamps that are placed under the side mirrors and a scuttle badging below the A-pillars.

The inside of the Mini 60 Years Edition gets MINI Yours Leather Lounge 60 Years Dark Maroon leather upholstery, leather-wrapped sport steering wheel with a  60 Years badge, touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, and much more. Just like the outside, the British Racing Green color makes an appearance on the inside as well. There are various elements and trim pieces vaunting the British Green Color and creating a harmony between the exterior and the interior of the Mini 60 Years Edition.

Lastly, let's discuss the mechanical bits that make their way to the Mini 60 Years Edition. It is a 2.0-litre engine resides under the hood of the special edition of the British icon. The power figures read 189 hp of maximum power and a peak torque of 281 Nm. Both the 3-Door and 5-Door hatchback models of the Mini 60 Years Edition will be offered, albeit in limited quantity.
