PH-available GAC sub-brands now under one roof

MANILA: In its bid to bolster its direct local operations in the Philippine market, all sub-brands in the country under the Guangzhou Automobile Group Company (GAC) will be integrated into one unified subsidiary.

In a statement, all products under the group’s three sub-brands — GAC Motor, Aion, and Hyptec — will all be under GAC International Philippines as part of advancing the “One GAC” strategy in the country.

To note, speculations about the consolidation rose when GAC Aion joined the 2024 Philippine Electric Vehicle Summit (PEVS) wherein key personalities from GAC Motor Philippines were also present.

The aforementioned move highlights the firm’s long-term commitment to investing in products, distribution networks, customer service, and operational capabilities.

According to GAC International Philippines, it also aims to work more closely with Filipino customers and partners to ensure greater alignment between brand strategy, market execution, and customer experience to support long-term and sustainable growth.

Further, GAC International Philippines noted that the integration will focus on communicating a clearer and more consistent brand identity; optimizing sales and service networks to enhance efficiency and market responsiveness; and delivering a more reliable, consistent, and customer-centric ownership and aftersales experience.

“Through the One GAC strategy, GAC International Philippines will offer Filipino customers a broader and more diverse product portfolio and advanced technology experience, while empowering local dealers and partners with stronger momentum, clearer direction, and enhanced growth opportunities,” the company shared.

Relatedly, the newly-created company is keen on introducing around six to eight new products for the local market that are designed to strengthen the marque’s competitiveness.

Lastly, GAC International Philippines vowed to continue investing in strengthening local operational foundations such as:

• Operational and process optimization
• Dealer network support
• Parts supply capability enhancement through localized warehousing and logistics improvements

While its brands are being merged, GAC International Philippines ensured that all authorized dealerships would remain fully operational and all warranty coverages, aftersales services, and parts availability shall continue.
