RENAULT VALUE UP CONCEPT BASED MINI SUV – IN PROGRESS

MNILA: After the Citroen Cactus Concept, which served as a forefather for Renault's C-Line models, now this French car-maker have came up with a all new concept, known as the Renault Value Up. As the name suggest, cars under this platform will be hold a greater 'value satisfaction' for the customers at affordable price. Now it is being rumored that Renault is planning to create a mini SUV, which will be based on this concept.

This Mini SUV based on the Renault Value Up platform, is expected to receive a global welcome. Apart from the fort mentioned concept, this mini SUV is also said to manufactured in line with CMF architecture. Common Module Family, which is a engineering approach deployed across 5 continents in more than 10 countries, that aims at reducing entry cost per model.

Talking about the Mini SUV, that will do full justification to its name, both in terms of dimension and engine. It is reported to be 3.8m long and would be available in two distinct engines - 1.0litre three-cylinder petrol engine and 1.5litre four cylinder dCi diesel engine. These motors under its cute little hood are expected to emit around 100g/km of CO2 , while the CO2 emission would fall down to 45g/kg with a plug-in hybrid version of this mini SUV. In addition, this mini van is expected to weight as little as 830kg.

As for the interior side, if this model fully adopts the Renault Value Up concept, we can expect to see a huge touchscreen display positioning on the dashboard, that would spread across the entire width of the car. Part of this display closer to the driver will have controls like air-con, navigation, etc while the past closer to the co-passenger will hold controls like of entertainment system. Further the instrumental console will house two LCD screen.

This hi-tech yet cost effective mini SUV is expected to make its world debut towards the end of 2017, with a affordable price tag of 16,000 EUR.
