Kia PH wins regional distributor of the year honors

MANILA: At the recently held 2026 Kia Global Distributors Convention, the South Korean carmaker’s Philippine arm was honored with the Asia-Pacific Regional Distributor of the Year Award. 

Per the Ayala-led company, the win marks the first time the Philippines has received this prestigious distinction and represents a significant milestone not only for the brand but also for the local automotive industry. 

The award honors the brand’s outstanding performance across key metrics, including sales volume, wholesale and retail growth rates, market share growth, and overall dealer capacity.

“This award is a strong validation of the hard work and collaboration of our entire Kia Philippines team and our dealer partners. Competing alongside top-performing markets globally and emerging as the Asia-Pacific winner reflects how far we have come as an organization. This achievement motivates us to keep pushing forward and deliver even greater value to our customers,” Kia Philippines Managing Director Jay Lopez was quoted as saying. 

Only one top subsidiary or distributor was selected for the award per region, which are North America, South America, Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and Asia Pacific. 

Aside from the Philippines, the other countries awarded were the United States, Peru, Denmark, and Northern Iraq.

Kia, as a brand, is enjoying good presence (from initiatives like the “Kia Movement” roadshow) and performance (with sales of nearly 8,000 units in 2025) under the stewardship of ACMobility.
