Subaru US announces ‘Be the Love. Volunteer!’ campaign for LGBTQ+ Pride Month

MANILA: The Rainbow Flag has become a global symbol of equality, inclusion, and pride, as well as a sign of June's month-long celebration for the LGBTQ+ community, allies, and corporate supporters. Subaru of America has proudly supported the community with cause-related projects, media campaigns, and charitable support for nearly 30 years. This June, the carmaker, which was one of the first in its sector to include LGBTQ+ employees in its non-discrimination policies, will support in the launch of a new program with the goal of elevating pride beyond a series of parades and rainbow-colored merchandise.

The “Be the Love. Volunteer!” campaign aims to help cultivate volunteers for health and social service groups that are licensees of Dining Out For Life, the foodie fundraiser which Subaru has supported since 2006.

Subaru believes that doing its part to have a positive impact in the world is important because it is the right thing to do. Subaru teamed up with Dining Out For Life International and Food Network's "Chopped!" host Ted Allen, Project Runway designer and HIV activist Mondo Guerra, and film and television star Pam Grier 16 years ago to aid those diagnosed with HIV and other chronic health illnesses.
