Super Sprint kicks off 2023 with Eneos

MANILA: Super Sprint, a local race series, has kicked off this year’s first event with its title partner Eneos Philippines.

Per the organizers of the grassroot race series, the maiden race for this year was staged yesterday at Parklinks Ayala in Libis Quezon City. The said event featured the usual straights, chicanes, and slaloms, coupled with some 360 and 540-degree turns.

The aim, according to the folks behind Super Sprint, is to keep things fresh for participants by laying out technicalities before every race to ensure all drivers can get an adrenaline rush as they race at a higher speed.

In addition, the emphasis for this year’s race is to innovate each participant’s experience by building on the organizers’ already-established training program — helping drivers progress their skills through additional driving courses and new lessons to be learned in every round.

As it has always been the goal of the series to encourage its competitors to learn and find their limits in a safe manner, Super Sprint provides an entry-level avenue for everyone to race.

As for Eneos Philippines’ part, Super Sprint organizers explained it shares the program’s reason for branching out to the country.

Eneos, for those who do not know, is best known for its best known for its reliable and high-quality lubricants. Its goal, per Super Sprint, is to optimize the motor oil performance of its users and enhance their driving experience with the proper knowledge and a focus on safety.

With Eneos as a major Japanese manufacturer amassing 28 locations overseas, the company will broaden its reach through Super Sprint. Through the race series, the automotive lubricant firm will feature its flagship products — Eneos SN/CF 5W40 and Eneos Pro-Racing 5W-40 — and guarantee sustainable peak performance in engine power under any racing condition for drivers who seek maximum efficiency and protection.

“The Philippines is one of our strategic target countries for our lubricants business. We see a lot of potential for growth given the large potential market, the country’s positive economic outlook, and the good reputation of Japanese brands among Filipinos,” Eneos President Imai Kazumasa said.

The Eneos Super Sprint race series will see five more events in 2024. Rounds two, five, and six will also be held in the same venue and are scheduled for March, July, and September, respectively. Meanwhile, rounds three and four will be held in soon-to-be-announced locations in northern and southern Metro Manila.
