Suzuki PH expands reach in Iloilo with Oton dealership opening

MANILA: Suzuki Philippines Incorporated (SPH) has opened its new dealership in Oton in its bid to bring its products and services to more customers in the country—particularly in Iloilo.

The newest facility— located at J.C. Zulueta Street, Poblacion South, Oton, Iloilo—is the brand’s 10th dealership under the Jan Andrew Po-led Grand Canyon Multi Holdings, marking their long-time collaboration.

In a statement, SPH shared that the dealership is strategically situated in the known center of commerce and trade in Southern Iloilo to ensure that clients there, as well as nearby areas, will have better access to Suzuki’s vehicle sales and after-sales services.

The dealership comes with a spacious showroom where they welcome customers and showcase their models, as well as a dedicated service area ready to support clients throughout their ownership journey.

During the opening ceremony, SPH Director and General Manager Norihide Takei noted the new dealership’s in bringing Suzuki closer to customers in Southern Iloilo. He also recognized Grand Canyon Multi Holdings’ achievement of reaching its 10th dealership, noting that the milestone reflects the group’s continued growth and strong partnership with Suzuki.

For his part, SPH General Manager for After Sales and Marine Division Yukio Sato expressed the importance of Suzuki Auto Oton in bringing reliable after-sales support within the community. According to the executive, the dealership is set provide customers with access to genuine Suzuki parts and professional service from trained personnel, helping ensure a consistent and dependable ownership experience.

Aside from the facilities and services, the executive mentioned that Suzuki continues to be committed to building lasting relationships with its customers and supporting them every step of their ownership journey

During the opening, SPH and Grand Canton Multi Holdings put the spotlight on the all-new eVitara.

Launched last June at the 2026 Philippine International Motor Show, the local distributor’s first full electric offering—which is a direct sibling of the Toyota Urban Cruiser—is powered by an electric motor that can dish out:

Maximum output (in horsepower)	172
Peak torque (in Newton-meters)	93

This mill gets its juice from a 61-kilowatt-hour lithium-iron phosphate battery that gives the vehicle an emissions-free range of 475 kilometers.

During a real-world test conducted in partnership with Automobile Association Philippines (AAP), the Suzuki e Vitara did 9.8 kilometers per kilowatt-hour which is equal to 87.22 kilometers per Liter gasoline equivalent.

Inside the Suzuki e Vitara are modern amenities namely:

• Integrated dual display
• Double-decker floating center console
• Rotary shift knob
• Two-spoke multi-function steering wheel
• Three-tone leatherette seats—10-way power-adjustable for the driver seat and ventilated front seating and a 40:20:40 split-folding bench equipped with sliding and reclining functionality
• 10.1-inch touchscreen display with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto mated to a six-piece Infinity sound system

Further, the e Vitara boasts its myriad of  active and passive safety technologies under Suzuki Safety Support, which includes

• Seven airbags
• All-wheel disc brakes
• Electronic parking brake with brake hold function
• Dual sensing brake sensor II
