Tarlac Circuit Hill Racetrack, Now Open in the North!
MANILA: Philippine motorsports is now blessed with an additional racetrack- the Tarlac Circuit Hill which is located in Tarlac Recreational Park (TRP) along San Jose, Tarlac.
The Tarlac Circuit Hill is officially open and a motoring festival was held on November 21 and 22. Various events were carried out on these dates such as Karting, Ceremonial Opening lap parade, time attact and the car show. The vent also hosted the 2015 final competition between the European Media Mobile Association (EMMA) Asia and Philippines.
The racetrack has been made by a joint initiate from the government of Tarlac and Governor Vic Yap at a cost of PhP 30 million. The main objective behind building this racetrack is to promote motorsport and create safety awareness among young drivers. Tarlac has also received highest statistics in road accidents. The track was initially designed for Go karts and bikes and it might help in boosting the economic growth and tourism of Tarlac.
The Racetrack Specifications are as follows:
- Constructed with premium quality concrete and water-resistant tarmac
- 1.5 kilometers of Track length with 12 meters of width
- Main straight length- 145 meters
- 11 Right Turns and 7 Left Turns
The racetrack is supervised and managed by Mr. Richard Joson and Mr. Pepon Marave (Circuit Management Group). Mr. Richard Joson is a famous driver who won many titles of Philippine Karter of the Year and three Asian Formula Championships. Moreover, Mr. Marave looks after Track design and technical aspects, while Mr. Joson looks after Marketing and Operations.
