Tesla PH previews upcoming Model Y L, launch set for Q2 2026

MANILA: Tesla Philippines has previewed the upcoming Model Y L, which is set to arrive in the second quarter of 2026.  

Not much details have been shared during its sneak preview, but the company mentioned that the battery-electric sport utility vehicle (SUV) will come with an indicative price of P2.894 million.

Per Tesla, the Philippines will be the third market outside China that will offer such this product (the first two being Australia and Thailand), which is the nameplate’s top-of-the-line variant.

So, what can customers expect from the Philippine-bound Tesla Model Y L? Here’s what we learned during the event.

This BEV carries the same look as the other Tesla Model Y trims: the connected headlights and taillamps, the fluid lines that match the aerodynamic silhouette, and the distinct wheel design.

However, the Tesla Model Y L has a slightly longer wheelbase to make room for the three-row, six-seater cabin.

Other features that were seen in the Tesla Model Y L are the avant-garde interior with brushed silver appliques as well as the following creature comforts:

• Two digital screens (16-inch infotainment at the center of the dashboard and an eight-inch version at the back of the center console)
• Ventilated front seats with thigh support and adjustable headrests
• Ventilated, one-touch, flat-folding middle row seats with power armrests
• Ventilated, power-reclinable rear chairs
• 18-speaker with one subwoofer audio system
• Additional microphones for the second and third rows

With four rear seats folded, its hauling capacity increases to 2,539 liters.

Based on the Australian-spec version, the Tesla Model Y L is powered by dual motors in all-wheel drive configuration, which allows it to accelerate 100 kilometers per hour from rest in five seconds flat. Its battery lets it cover up to  681 kilometers (based on Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicle Test Procedure).

On paper, the vehicle measures:

Further, Zigwheels Philippines hopes that the arriving iteration would have the following safety and driver-assist technologies such as:
