The Koenigsegg Gemera serves up a whopping 1,677hp
MANILA: Koenigsegg will unveil its first-ever four-seater sports car, the Gemera, at the Salon Privè Week in the UK.
The Swedish automaker calls it the world’s first "mega GT (grand tourer)," the name Gemera means "give more," which is exactly what the cabin space and the vehicle’s performance does.
“The Gemera is a game-changing model for Koenigsegg, and we can’t think of anywhere better than Salon Privé to give the car its UK debut. It’s grown into an essential event for the motoring world’s greatest brands, and we’re excited to show off the Gemera to its discerning guests,” said Koenigsegg CEO and Founder Christian von Koenigsegg.

Powered by the brand’s 2.0-liter iny Friendly Giant (TFG) three-cylinder twin-turbocharged camless piston engine and three electric motors (two at the rear and one at the front), total output is a mind-blowing 1,677hp and 3,500Nm of torque and it weighs only 150 pounds.
The engine can run on both E85 bio fuel and gasoline and has a total range of 950 kilometers on hybrid mode. It goes from zero to 100kph in just 1.9 seconds and can reach a top speed of 400kph. In pure electric mode, top speed is 300 km/h.
It is Koenigsegg’s first all-wheel-drive model, has all-wheel steering, all-wheel vectoring, and uses the single-gear Koenigsegg Direct Drive transmission. Safety features include six smart airbags, stability control, traction control, ABS (anti-lock braking system) and ADAS (advanced driver-assistance systems) 2.5.
