Toyota Alphard now part of PBB Celeb Collab winner Mika Salamanca's garage

MANILA: The Toyota Alphard hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) is an aspirational vehicle for many Filipinos. It is, after all, one of the most luxurious offerings from Toyota Motor Philippines’ lineup of cars.

And as it turns out, it is also the dream car of Anne Michaella “Mika” Salonga Salamanca - a GMA Network-associated talent who emerged as the winner (together with Brent Manalo)  of the 2025 Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition.

As one can imagine, the Toyota Alphard HEV is a suitable chariot for an up-and-coming celebrity. Due to its hybrid powertrain, it is exempt from coding, which means having the freedom of mobility. 

And of course, acting jobs, photoshoots, and event appearances can be fun, but they often take a lot of energy to execute. As such, the spacious and plush ride is a fitting place for Salamanca to relax and unwind.

Toyota Alphard HEV in PH

For people interested in the Toyota Alphard HEV, its sole variant available locally starts at P4.671 million. 

Under the hood of the Toyota Alphard HEV is a 2.5-liter inline-4 gasoline engine paired with a battery, an electric motor, and a continuously variable transmission (CVT). At maximum, the Alphard’s internal combustion component can generate up to 185 horsepower (hp) and 233 Newton-meters of torque. Its electric motor, meanwhile, can produce up to 179 hp and 270 Nm of torque. 

The Alphard HEV’s lineup of exterior equipment includes LED lighting fixtures with an automatic headlamp, power-folding side mirrors with heating and memory, rain-sensing wipers, a fixed moon roof, and a power tailgate. 

Inside the luxury MPV is a three-row seating configuration with leather-upholstered seats. The ones in the front and second row get power adjustability. All rows also get access to an armrest.
