Toyota Motor PH to join PITS, PEVS

MANILA: Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) will stake its presence at the 1st Philippine International Truck Show (PITS) and the 14th Philippine Electric Vehicle Summit (PEVS) that are set to take place later this week.

The country’s leading automotive distributor is inviting the public to check out its spaces at the two automotive events, which will be held on October 22-24, 2026, at the SMX Convention Center, Pasay City.

Event-goers who will visit the Toyota booth at the PITS will see the Tamaraw’s modern public utility version (MPUV) while those who will be at EV summit first can see Toyota and Lexus’ electric vehicles up close.

Examples of the models displayed at the two events will also be up for test drives to allow customers to try out Toyota’s wide range of vehicles and discover the perfect ride for them.

Toyota at 14th PEVS

Marking its debut at the event, Toyota will put the spotlight on its wide-ranging electrified vehicle roster to highlight electric mobility with proven quality, durability, and reliability (QDR).

Among the Toyota and Lexus models that will be displayed at the 14th PEVS are

Toyota	bZ4X Hilux BEV Zenix HEV Corolla Cross HEV
Lexus	ES HEV RZ BEV

Additionally, more than 10 of their electrified vehicles from their electrified car lineup will be available for display.

Many Prius units are still being used today, a testament to the longevity of Toyota’s EVs and quality, reliability, and durability. When customers choose to start their EV journey with Toyota, we can guarantee the peace of mind and seamless after-sales services to all our customers,” TMP Marketing Division Senior Vice President Sherwin Chua-Lim was quoted as saying.

Toyota forms parts of inaugural PITS

Recently previewed at the marque’s production facility in Santa Rosa City, Laguna, the next-generation Toyota Tamaraw modern PUV—the latest addition to the nameplate’s string of conversions—will have its public launch at the first-ever PITS.

The company expressed firm belief that this model, which is being positioned as a “National Car,” will bring Toyota’s quality, reliability, and durability to the public transportation sector.

To recall, the prototype for the Toyota Tamaraw PUV was unveiled was first seen at the model’s formal launch in 2023—with Toyota Motor Corporation Chair Akio Toyoda personally revealing it.

“The Tamaraw truly is a blank canvas, taking different forms to help people realize their dreams. We are happy—and proud—to build it… Through the Tamaraw MPUV, let us bring our strengths together to make everyday life better—for commuters, transport operators, and communities. That is how we want to contribute to the Philippines: by delivering something people can use, depend on, and truly value in their daily lives,” TMP President Masando Hashimoto noted.
