VinFast PH opens pre-order books for VF8 ahead of Nov. 2026 launch

MANILA: VinFast Philippines has officially started the reservation period of the VF8 in the Philippines — the first market outside Vietnam to offer the nameplate.

 Customers may pre-order the electric sport utility vehicle (SUV)—which will be formally revealed next month—starting today until November 5 in all the brand’s dealerships around the country.

The initial batch of units are expected to be released within the same month.

In a statement, the Haiphong-headquartered marque said that the first 1,000 customers who will settle a non-refundable deposit of P5,000 to P10,000 are set to receive a free one-year battery subscription.

VinFast Philippines Chief Executive Officer, Antonio Zara III said that the early booking program for the all-new VF 8 was the result of “the tremendous demand for VinFast’s innovations” in the local market.

Built for the performance and tech-focused Filipinos, the VF 8 promises a premium midsize crossover e-SUV experience. The pre-order program is our way of giving Filipinos a chance to be among the first in the Philippines to experience our newest offering. We cannot wait for the arrival of the VF 8 in the Philippines this November, and we are even more excited to welcome more Filipinos to the VinFast ecosystem.”

Without being heavy on details yet, here are some bits of information about the upcoming VinFast VF8.

Per VinFast Philippines, the arriving VinFast VF8 is a D-segment electric SUV that combines technology, emotion and everyday practicality in a modern, dynamic package.

Its aesthetics revolves around the “Tech Fluid” design philosophy, which focuses on seamless lines, sophistication and a strong sense of motion.

Aside from the technology, the VinFast VF8 will be packaged with a vehicle warranty of seven years or 160,000 kilometers (km) and a battery warranty of 10 years or 200,000 km.

However, as seen in VinFast Europe’s website, the VF8 is powered by two motors that provide combined churns of:

Maximum output (in horsepower)	349-402
Peak torque (in Newton-meters)	500-620

Such a powertrain configuration gets its energy from a 87.7-kilowatt-hour battery, which gives it an emissions-free range of 457-471 kilometers (based on Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicle Test Procedure standards).

Other possible amenities that might also be fitted in the Philippine-spec VinFast VF8 are:

• Vegan leather seats
• Ambient light
• Heated steering wheel
• Auto rear view mirror with heating, automatic anti-glare, and position memorization
• Panoramic sunroof
