Bound for Europe
Sea Patris, a Luxembourg-flagged vessel, docked to load approximately 1,500 VinFast VF 6 EVs. The shipment, VinFast pointed out, was manufactured exclusively for GSM to support its upcoming expansion plans across European markets.
Painted in VinFast’s signature red and white livery and prominently featuring the firm’s branding across its exterior, Sea Patris is the second dedicated vessel used to transport VinFast vehicles to Europe and other international markets.
The vessel is scheduled to call at Nansha Port in China before continuing to Morocco and is expected to arrive at the Port of Koper in Slovenia by late August. From there, the vehicles will be transported to GSM’s target markets to support the expansion of the Vietnamese all-electric ride-hailing platform across Europe.

On the other hand, Silver Queen, a Panama-flagged dedicated RORO vessel under VinFast’s long-term charter agreement and features as Sea Patris, loaded more than 3,500 VinFast EVs bound for the Philippines and Indonesia.
Since its first shipment in late 2022, Silver Queen has transported 20 consignments of VinFast vehicles, delivering tens of thousands of units to international markets including the United States, Canada, the Philippines, and Indonesia.
In addition, VinFast has chartered 16 other RORO vessels to export its vehicles worldwide.
The vessel is expected to arrive at Batangas Port in the Philippines and Jakarta, Indonesia, in August 2026 to deliver vehicles to both markets.
Growing market
According to the Hanoi-headquartered brand, its decision to charter additional dedicated international cargo vessels reflects the strong global growth of both VinFast and GSM.
To date, VinFast has established a presence in more than 10 international markets, including key markets such as the United States, Canada, Europe, India, Indonesia, the Philippines, and the Middle East.
Meanwhile, its ride-hailing arm has expanded its operations to Laos, the Philippines, Indonesia, India, and Kazakhstan, with plans to enter several European countries in the near future.
“The rapid international expansion of VinFast and GSM is not only a testament to the success of both brands, but also reflects Vietnam’s growing contribution to global decarbonization efforts and the green transition,” VinFast wrote in a press release.
“VinFast and GSM are bringing more environmentally-friendly mobility solutions to consumers around the world while demonstrating the capabilities, quality, and global competitiveness of Vietnam’s electric vehicle industry,” it added.
