VinFast to retail Limo Green’s in PH, company SEA CEO confirms

MANILA: VinFast is set to sell the Limo Green in the Philippines, the company’s regional chief executive disclosed.

During an interview, VinFast Southeast Asia Chief Executive Officer Antonio Zara confirmed the marque’s plan to make available in the country the aforementioned nameplate  — adding that its pricing is something that customers should continue to look out for.

The firm's executive in the region shared the information to  Zigwheels Philippines weeks after the Land Transportation Officer released Memorandum Circular MVL-2025-4841, which shared details about the full-electric seven-seater.

The said documentation from the government agency raised speculations that the forthcoming model will just join the lineup of Green GSM — the brand’s ride-hailing arm.

This particular offering is powered by an electric motor that can dish out 201 horses — allowing the vehicle to reach a top speed of 140 kilometers per hour.

Meanwhile, the LTO documentation noted that the fully-juiced up VinFast Limo Green can cover 300 kilometers sans the fumes, thanks to its lithium-iron battery. Charging the vehicle from 10- to 70-percent can be done in as fast as 27 minutes.

The same model was seen at the Gaikindo Jakarta AutoWeek 2025, which is expected to have its formal launch there this March. Given this timeline, we might see the VinFast Limo Green in the Philippines at a later date.

Other developments

Aside from the Limo Green entry to the Philippine market, the Haiphong-headquartered marque will also start launching more models locally as it sets its sights on a stronger 2026.

Without sharing relevant details, the company bared that part of its target for 2026 is the introduction of electric scooters and electric multi-purpose vehicles (MPV).

Meanwhile, VinFast expressed firm belief that the VinFast VF 6, VF 7, and VF 9 shall be its core drivers for the local market given the “increasing demand for spacious electric sport utility vehicles.”

Supporting the growing local roster is its expansive retail and service presence. At present, VinFast said that it now has 30 dealerships and 34 service workshops nationwide.

Aside from that, VinFast will also roll out numerous charging stations across key urban centers and major transport corridors that will support both electric cars and two-wheelers.  According to the company, the said move is eyed at reducing range anxiety while strengthening long-term confidence in EV ownership.

Lastly, Zara expressed his confidence in the brand’s plans laid out for the year.

“We are entering 2026 with strong momentum, built on the trust and support we have earned in the Philippines over the past two years,” he said. “This year is about accelerating, expanding access, strengthening our ecosystem, and making electric mobility a source of confidence and pride for Filipino drivers.”
