Zeekr 001 to be unveiled in PH next week?

MANILA: The Zeekr 001 will likely be introduced to the Philippine market before the end of the month.

Such assumption was made following the invitation sent to Zigwheels Philippines wherein the said model was used as background. The digital invite from the Autohub Group of Companies shared that the event shall take place on June 29.

In an earlier statement, Zeekr said that the 001 Standard and Flagship trims, as well as the X Premium and Flagship options will be offered as part of its official lineup — with the 009 to be revealed by the third quarter of the year.

While waiting for the company’s official announcement, here are some initial bits of information about the Philippine-spec Zeekr 001.

Based on the company website, Zeekr 001 features a dynamic shooting brake body that has a 0.23 cd drag coefficient and frameless doors. Its exterior illumination system are intelligent matrix LED headlamps with adaptive high beam and a 1.47 meter integrated full-width tail light system.

Depending on the trim, the vehicle sits on 21-22-inch wheels in varying styles.

Its body color options range are Phantom Black, Tech Grey, Crystal White, Electric Blue, and Energy Orange.

Its interior boasts a luxurious and tech-heavy cabin as it has multi-color ambient lighting, multiple digital displays (15.4-inch center screen, 8.9-inch instrument cluster, 5.7-inch touchscreen at the rear), as well as N95 air-filtration technology and three-zone climate control for its air-conditioning system.

Its hauling capacity is up to 2,144 liters of space, thanks to its varying seat configurations.

The cabin hues vary from Midnight Blue and Polar White or Charcoal Black and Stone Grey.

Propelling the vehicle are two electric motors (that have a peak power of as much as 536 horses) with an intelligent four-wheel-drive system — allowing the vehicle to cover 0-100 kilometers per hour in (kph) 3.8 seconds and reach a maximum of 200 kph.

The mill is powered by a 100-kilowatt-hour battery that gives the vehicle a range of up to 620 kilometers (based on Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicle Test Procedure standard).

Its stopping power comes from four-piston brake calipers and ventilated brake discs that gives the Zeekr 001 a minimum braking distance of 34.5 meters (100 kph to complete rest).

Further, the Zeekr 001 is outfitted with electric air suspension (which offers five-level real-time height adjustment), five high-definition cameras, five millimeter-wave radars, and 12 ultrasonic radars.

The Zeekr 001’s pricing as well as other possible details are expected to be shared during the forthcoming event.
