Despite having a sub-four-meter design which is normally perceived to be claustrophobic for a sedan, the new Dzire feels roomy and spacious on the inside, thanks to a brilliant in cabin design engineering. The seats are positioned a bit low, with enough legroom and knee room giving the new Dzire a great back seat experience for a car of this size and price. Also, at 378 liters, the boot space of the Dzire feels great for a sub-four-meter sedan.
The sub-four-meter sedans usually are not so good examples of looks and design, with disproportionate silhouette being an issue with them. However, Suzuki has done a tremendous job by giving the Dzire a proportionate design on the outside, with the boot lid design not looking as if it is chopped off.
Suzuki cars are usually well known for their well-balanced powertrains which offer a good mix of performance, refinement, and fuel efficiency. The new Suzuki Dzire too feels the same by offering the best in class fuel economy.
Spacious and comfortable cabin
Supple ride quality
While the 5-speed manual gearbox has great shifts and feels responsive, the same cannot be said about the AMT gearbox which is offered as an option along with it. The 5-speed automatic gearbox with which the new Suzuki Dzire is blessed with offers good convenience for daily commutes. However, the gearbox feels jerky when revved hard, which dilutes the driving experience a bit.
The steering feels light and convenient for daily driving duties. However, on higher speeds, the steering feels a bit lifeless by being lesser responsive and not weighing enough when speed rises, making it feel less connected to the driver.
