It is powered by a 157 cubic-centimeter gasoline-fed engine mated to an automatic (V-Matic) transmission. How much power does it make?
It makes up to 15.8 horsepower and 14.7 Newton-meters of torque. Now touted as a smarter companion — with sharper looks — for motorcycle enthusiasts, the dual sport automatic scooter looks to deliver a more intelligent experience to would-be owners while still providing them with the performance they are familiar with.

Subtle body upgrades
The overall body of the new Honda ADV160 looks quite similar to the model it replaced, but gets minor improvements to separate it from the old version.
New to the motorcycle are its side fairings with air vents. This helps channel wind, which could possibly help it achieve riding stability as well as help cool down components hidden underneath the panels.
In keeping with its rugged looks, the new Honda ADV160 still has angular fairings, a snappy-looking headlamp, a high windshield, angular side mirrors, and beefy tires.
Not only does it convey ruggedness, but has some practical uses, like giving the two-wheeler a good ground clearance of 165 millimeters.
For motorcycle buyers particular about the color of their rides, the new Honda ADV160 is available in the following colors:

Another notable upgrade to the Honda ADV160 is the addition of the RoadSync technology for the range-topping variant.
For the uninitiated, Honda RoadSync is the company’s proprietary system for connecting smartphones to its motorcycle offerings, like the ADV160.
On that note, owners can integrate smartphone convenience into their daily rides, such as answering calls, checking messages, getting directions through navigation applications, and listening to their favorite tunes while they ride.
This can help riders in various ways, such as saving fuel by making sure they reach their destination without unnecessary stops (if they get lost), getting necessary updates from their connected devices, and, should they face any untoward situation, making calls to contact their loved ones when using a Bluetooth-enabled headset.
Helping the rider with viewing relevant information is the five-inch thin-film transistor instrument cluster that complements the RoadSync system and provides a crisp display for the motorcyclist to see.
Smart top box
Also new to the Honda ADV160 is the smart top box that can be ordered and installed on the motorcycle straight from the factory.
Like a standard top box, it can accommodate daily carry items like a small, spare helmet; a change of clothes; and other small items. Having a utility box at the back of the motorcycle not only gives riders additional cargo space but also prevents any unnecessary clutter.
As we know, the Honda ADV160 does not have a flat cargo board, and hanging small bags and totes in the center area of the scooter can disrupt the natural balance of the motorbike.
What makes the smart top box special and intelligent is that it can be operated by the sport and adventure scooter’s smart key system. This adds a layer of safety and convenience for owners.

Familiar power
Aside from the abovementioned new features, the new Honda ADV160 still packs the same 57 cubic-centimeter gasoline-fed engine mated to an automatic (V-Matic) transmission.
This setup is able to put out some 15.8 horses and 14.7 Newton-meters of pulling power.
For smooth deceleration and quick halts, the new Honda ADV160 still relies on hydraulic disc brakes, front and back. For its suspension system, it gets a telescopic fork at the fore and twin shock absorbers with subtanks at the rear.
Pricing, availability
As briefly covered earlier, the new Honda ADV160 is offered in two trims, ABS-type and RoadSync-type. They are priced at P167,400 and P174,900, respectively.
While the new Honda ADV160 has been available since February, Honda Philippines Incorporated stated earlier that the top box will become available in stores sometime in May.
