BMW G 310 RR Concept revealed in Japan
MANILA: Further extending the lineup of G 310 series, the German manufacturer has revealed the G 310 RR concept at the ongoing BMW Motorrad Days in Japan. Looking at the success of BMW G 310 R and BMW G 310 GS, it was sure that BMW will be adding more variants to the existing range. BMW has done this in the form of a full faired motorcycle with G 310 RR nomenclature.
The concept highlights the typical BMW sportbike design but with a lot of carbon fiber inclusion. The asymmetric headlights look aggressive while the nose spoiler and gill-shaped slits on the side assist in improved aerodynamics. To give a track-ready appearance, the concept also features faux headlights.
Powering the BMW G 310 RR is a 312cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that delivers a maximum power output of 34 PS at 9500 rpm and a peak torque of 28 Nm at 7500 rpm. The power is transmitted to the rear wheel through a 6-speed transmission. Although this is a concept version, the production-ready model might be showcased at the upcoming INTERMOT in October and EICMA Show in November.
