Bristol Motorcycles launches Zontes 150X, 703RR
Marque’s forays into the commuter scooter and sport bike segments
MANILA: Bristol Motorcycles, the distributor of Zontes in the Philippine market, has launched the all-new 150X scooter and the 703RR middle-weight sport bike.

Zontes 150X
For its engine, the Zontes 150X uses a 149.5-cc, single-cylinder, four-valve, liquid-cooled gasoline engine that can produce up to 17.7 horsepower (hp) and 15.5 Newton-meters (Nm) of torque.
Stopping power for the 150X is provided by front and rear disc brakes. It also has 14 (front) and 13-inch (rear) wheels, a 12-liter fuel tank, and an aluminum frame. For the front, the model uses a telescopic fork, whereas its rear end uses a dual shock suspension system.
Style-wise, the Zontes 150X follows the sharp, modern design language of its larger siblings. It has a relatively wide seat, a two-tone paint job for its angular fairings, and a set of LED lighting fixtures.
Convenience features available to the model include an electronic seatlock and fuel cover, a Type C USB port, keyless entry, selectable ride modes, and a TFT gauge cluster. Safety-wise, the all-new Zontes nameplate also comes with dual-channel anti-lock braking and traction control.

Price-wise, the Zontes 150X starts at P169,900. For a limited time, however, it has an introductory price of P149,900.
Zontes 703RR
The Zontes 703RR is the brand’s first-ever global entry into the sport bike category. And with a suggested retail price of P498,800, it is also seen as a strong contender that won’t break the bank.
Propelling the Zontes 703RR is a three-cylinder, liquid-cooled gasoline mill that can produce up to 95 hp and 75 Nm of torque.
The aforementioned is touted as the crown jewel of the 703RR, as it stands out as a strong contrast to its similarly sized rivals. Examples include the four-cylinder Honda CBR650R and the two-cylinder Kawasaki Ninja 650.
For braking, the 703RR uses dual 300 mm discs at the front and a 265 mm disc at the rear. Ride quality and handling, meanwhile, are ensured by adjustable 43 mm front forks and a rear monoshock system. The model also has a six-speed transmission with a wet multi-disc clutch and a quickshifter.
