Ducati launches DesertX Rally-inspired apparel

MANILA: Ducati has launched the Explorer apparel, which was inspired by the rally version of the marque’s DesertX motorcycle.

To note, the Ducati DesertX Rally is an adventure bike equipped with a 937 cubic centimeter engine capable of delivering some 110 horsepower with 92 Newton-meters of torque. The powerplant is paired with a six-speed gearbox with Ducati Quick Shift technology.

At its fore is a 48-millimeter (mm) KYB upside-down front fork suspension and spoked 21-inch wheels wrapped in 90/90 Pirelli Scorpion Rally tires. The rear gets a KYB monoshock suspension setup with a 46 mm piston in an aluminum double-sided swingarm setup and spoked 18-inch tires shod in 150/70 Pirelli Scorpion Rally rubbers.

Stopping power comes from Brembo disc brakes with Bosch Cornering ABS (anti-lock braking system) technology.

The Ducati Explorer apparel complements the adventurous nature of the DesertX Rally motorcycle. The centerpiece of this collection is a technical suit consisting of a jacket and trousers, also available in a variant with a fit suitable for women.

Also available is a complementing Ducati Explorer T7 boots.

The Explorer collection is characterized by a “color-block” theme, which extends to a series of casual garments with a contemporary taste, ideal for expressing one’s adventurous and Ducati-branded personality even in everyday life.

The new Ducati Explorer line of apparel was born in this spirit, inspired by the style of the DesertX Rally and developed with the support of the same test riders who contributed to the creation of the most adventurous Ducati,” the Bologna, Italy-headquartered motorcycle company wrote in a press release.
