Harley-Davidson Asia launches refreshed Cruiser 117 lineup for PH

MANILA: Harley-Davidson Asia has formally introduced the refreshed Cruiser 117 lineup for the Philippine market. 

Consisting of six models, the 2025 Cruiser 117 lineup received three versions of the heavily revised 1,916-cubic-centimeter (CC) Milwaukee-Eight engines. The aforementioned are paired with upgrades done for the model lineup’s safety equipment, styling, and many other additional features. 

Harley-Davidson Street Bob, Heritage Classic

The Philippine-spec Harley-Davidson Street Bob and Heritage Classic for the model year 2025 both utilize the Milwaukee-Eight 117 Classic, which was tuned to provide a flat torque curve and an engaging street performance. 

At maximum, the said version of the famed Harley-Davidson powertrain can generate up to 98 horsepower (hp) and 163 Newton-meters (Nm) of torque. Per the American motorcycle’s local arm, it can produce four percent more power compared to the older 2024 Milwaukee-Eight 114 engine. 

The new Harley-Davidson Street Bob, in particular, received a new “stretched diamond” tank medallion and new tubeless laced wheels (optional). Otherwise, it retains the familiar mini ape bar, chopped rear fender, solo seat with a separate passenger pillion, and 13.2-liter fuel tank found on the older version. 

As for the Heritage Classic, it was equipped with a new exhaust system that allows for a symmetrical saddlebag arrangement. It also sports body pinstriping, a diamond-shaped chrome tank medallion, new black and chrome finishes, as well as a new pair of nine-spoke cast wheels.

Harley-Davidson Fat Boy, Breakout

Propelling the 2025 versions of the Harley-Davidson Fat Boy and Breakout is the Milwaukee-Eight 117 Custom. 

With a maximum output of 104 hp and 171 Nm, it boasts a six percent increase over the engines used by the previous Fat Boy and Breakout models. The aforementioned was accomplished via a 4.0-liter touring-style intake box, a “two-into-two” exhaust system with individual catalysts. Thanks to the aforementioned, the Milwaukee-Eight 117 Custom can be fed with a greater amount of air, all the while reducing intake noise. 

Specific improvements for the Fat Boy include new paint options and graphics, a new tank medallion, new pinstripe layouts, a pair of high-performance tires, Lakecaster aluminum wheels, and reshaped front and rear fenders. 

The chopper-style Breakout, meanwhile, sports a new 5.76-inch round headlamp, a refreshed paint job and graphics package, monochromatic bar, and shield logo for its fuel tank. 

Harley-Davidson Low Rider ST, Low Rider S

For the 2025 Harley-Davidson Low Rider ST and Low Rider S, both received the Milwaukee-Eight 117 High Output, making the two the most powerful among the refreshed Cruiser 117 lineup. 

At most, the said version of the engine can generate 114 hp and 174 Nm of torque, which is equivalent to an 11 percent increase over the old versions of the Low Rider ST and Low Rider S. 

As shared by Harley-Davidson, the said output was accomplished by raising its redline from 5600 revolutions per minute (rpm) to 5,900 rpm. The result is “additional throttle headroom under strong acceleration.” Moreover, the said engine was also provided with a two-into-one exhaust system, as well as a “Heavy Breather” intake that features a forward-facing air filter element. 

New details for the Low Rider ST include rigid saddlebags with a symmetrical layout, refreshed styling, a new set of optional chrome decorative bits (including chrome “Radiate” wheels), and a revamped taillight. 

For the Low Rider S, it received a new taillight, new styling cues with red accents on the air cleaner cover, and black cast aluminum “Radiate” wheels. 

Enhancements for all 2025 Cruiser 117 models

For the entire 2025 Cruiser 117 model lineup, usability in various road conditions was improved, thanks to the addition of selectable ride modes, such as road, rain, and sport. The six nameplate also received new safety features as standard, including: 

• Anti-lock braking
• Traction control
• Cornering traction control
• Drag-torque slip control
• Cornering drag-torque slip control
• Tire pressure monitoring system

All six also come with a set of full LED fixtures and a new round-shaped analog gauge paired with a small digital screen. The aforementioned allows for the monitoring and control of the cruiser model’s new drive modes and safety gear. 

Harley-Davidson Fat Boy Grey Ghost

Apart from launching the 2025 Cruiser 117 models, Harley-Davidson Asia also showcased the limited-edition Fat Boy “Grey Ghost” for the first time in the Philippines. 

No exact number of allocations of the Grey Ghost was provided for the local market, but the brand limited its production run to just 1,990 units globally. 

To note, the said limited-run variant celebrates the 35th anniversary of the Fat Boy cruiser nameplate. It boasts an all-chrome exterior finish, special yellow trims for its Milwaukee-Eight 117 engine, and full LED lighting. It likewise carries over the added safety gear that is present on the regular 2025 Harley-Davidson Fat Boy.
