Since I worry a lot about running costs, the short EV range of the DFSK E5 is both a limitation and a blessing. For grocery trips and daily school runs, you can work mostly on electric, which helps in cutting fuel bills. However, if your daily commute involves long highway stints, you’ll have to rely often enough on the 60-litre tank. The quality of materials inside the cabin has surprised me in a good way. On multi-hour drives, the seats keep me comfortable. Brakes are confidence-inspiring, and ride quality is very smooth even when loaded.
