Here are VinFast VF 5's color options

With the recent launch of the VinFast VF 5 in the Philippines, would-be car buyers who are considering electric vehicles (EV) are offered a capable model sold at a relatively affordable price. 

Despite its price tag of just P1.191 million, the electric-powered crossover already offers plenty of desirable characteristics, such as four-wheel disc brakes, 17-inch alloy wheels, automatic headlamps, and a trunk capacity of up to 900 liters with the rear seats folded down. 

The VF 5’s electric motor is notably peppy, too, with a maximum output of 134 horsepower and 135 Newton-meters of torque. It also has a range of up to 326 kilometers, which is more than enough for daily driving. 

It likewise received a well-appointed interior equipped with an eight-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a seven-inch digital gauge cluster, a drive mode selector, and a rear-view parking camera. 

However, VinFast’s smallest locally available EV unit has four colors to choose from. So, the question now is, how do the said colors impact the feel and look of the model? Let’s find out through this handy guide. 

Bahminy White

The Bahminy White exterior color option for the VinFast VF 5 is the brightest and most neutral choice. 

White, as most car buyers already know, is inoffensive, so there’s a good chance it’ll enhance the compact EV unit’s desirable exterior design features. Case in point are the vehicle’s sleek closed-off front fascia and its flat-topped roofline. 

In addition, white will make the crossover's black-colored exterior parts more visible to an onlooker. The parts providing contrast to the crossover’s exterior include the plastic claddings on its side section, its lower front and rear bumpers, its A and B pillars, and half of its side mirrors. 

The light hue of Bahminy White might also make the vehicle easier to spot, even in darker driving situations. At the same time, however, it may also help it blend into traffic. After all, white remains to be a popular car color choice in the Philippine market. 

Neptune Grey

For folks wanting the opposite of the Bahminy White, there’s Neptune Grey. Sure, its name implies a lighter shade than black, but it is, by far, the darkest color option for the VF 5. 

As a result, the crossover model gets a quiet but elegant look that emphasizes the character lines found on top of its wheel arches and the center line bisecting its hood. On the flip side, this will serve to hide some black-colored details on the car to a certain degree. Its chrome decorative trim pieces on its front fascia, though, may become more apparent to the naked eye. Of course, the aforementioned quality of a grey car color also applies to the VF 5’s silver-colored spoked 17-inch alloy set of wheels. 

Another benefit of a grey exterior color is its ability to somewhat hide dirt and minor imperfections on the car’s body. It cannot magically make a dent disappear, mind you, but grey can hide lighter scratches or scuffs a bit better than other popular exterior color options. 

As mentioned above, Neptune Grey is slightly nondescript. As such, it may also make the vehicle less apparent in traffic as well. 

Crimson Red

Car buyers who want a more youthful look for the all-electric crossover should opt for Crimson Red. By far, the said color is the brightest option, thus helping to bring out a zesty, energetic appeal to the compact model. 

Like many other vehicles with black exterior trim, the VF 5's red-tinged body color makes the vehicle appear sporty. The VF 5 isn’t a fast and athletic sports car, sure, but do remember that its powertrain can produce a healthy 134 hp and instantaneous torque. As such, the blazing hot Crimson Red color comes as an appropriate option. 

VinFast Blue

As per its name, VinFast Blue is the Vietnamese marque's signature color. It suits the vehicle well since the hue is considered a symbol of electric-powered mobility. 

Otherwise, the aforementioned shade of blue also offers the five-seater crossover a calm and serene persona reminiscent of clear skies and the ocean. Once again, the said qualities are appropriate for the vehicle since EV models do not produce environment-harming emissions at all.

For buyers who desire a car color between the loudness of red and the quietness of white or grey, blue also offers a good compromise. It isn’t too understated or too subtle, but it still provides the ride with a lively personality.
