VinFast starts VF 5 delivery in Indonesia

MANILA: VinFast Auto began the rollout of the VF 5 to its customers in Indonesia at the Gaikindo Jakarta Auto Week this year.

In a statement, the automotive marque shared that it delivered the initial fleet for its Indonesian market, which is eyed to become a key model there.

The Hanoi-headquartered electric vehicle (EV) automaker shared that in a span of nine months since it entered the Indonesian market, it was able to introduce models that cover two segments: the A segment (VF 5), and the C-segment (VF e34).

VinFast Indonesia is marketing the VF 5 to those who are drawn into new energy vehicles, especially those who are within the Jakarta metropolitan area.

In Indonesia, the VinFast VF 5 is being retailed with a promotional price of 286,450,000 IDR (around P1.063 million) if purchased with battery and 218,250,000 IDR (P809,620.77) if under battery subscription.  To note, the pricing of the Philippine-spec VinFast VF 5’s ranges from P992,000-P1.191 million.

Clients may also have the A-segment offering through flexible purchasing options: customers can buy the VF 5 with the battery included or choose a battery subscription plan starting at just 990.000 IDR per month. Further, buyers who will opt for installment plans may have the vehicle with zero-percent interest, no administrative fees, and no service charges for the first year.

VinFast also launched a resale value guarantee, noting that vehicles used for six months will maintain up to 90 percent of their original pricing, 86 percent after a year, 78 percent after two years, and 70 percent after three years.

The VF 5 also comes with a seven-years or 160,000-kilometers (whichever comes first) bumper-bumper warranty and eight years with no distance traveled limit for the battery.
