Limited edition crossover boasts a peppy powertrain

Jetour Dashing PHEV: pros and cons

The crossover market segment in the Philippines has definitely grown over the years. And now, in 2025, it is arguably the most prominent car segment in the local scene.

KEY TAKEAWAYS

  • How much horsepower and torque can the Jetour Dashing PHEV produce?

In total, the Jetour Dashing PHEV can produce up to 321 horsepower and 545 Newton-meters of torque.
  • What is the transmission of the Jetour Dashing PHEV?

The Jetour Dashing PHEV utilizes a three-speed dedicated hybrid transmission.
  • Jetour Auto Philippines Incorporated (JAPI) is well aware of the said fact, and so it introduced the plug-in hybrid (PHEV) version of its Dashing nameplate last year as a limited-edition model.

In the case of the Dashing, it currently counts as one of the most recognizable models in JAPI’s lineup. As such, having a PHEV version will surely help it grab a larger slice of the compact crossover pie. Because even as a limited edition run of only 10 units, the Dashing PHEV will have aided JAPI in gauging interest in the market for potential clients who want an electrified version of the brand’s popular rides.

But what are the strengths of the Jetour Dashing PHEV? Also, does the model have any weaknesses buyers should be aware of?

    Let’s find out here.

    Jetour Dashing PHEV Pros

    Peppy performance

Under the hood of the Jetour Dashing PHEV is a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine paired with a dual-electric motor hybrid system.

In total, the powertrain of the Dashing PHEV is capable of producing a total system output of 321 horsepower and 545 Newton-meters of torque, which enables it to sprint from zero to 100 kilometers per hour in just seven seconds. As such, the kind of power the Jetour model produces places it at the top of the totem pole amongst its competitors.

While beefy, the crossover model boasts a New European Driving Cycle-indicated eclectic-only range of 100 kilometers (km). In total, the vehicle can also cover up to 1,000 km with a single full tank of gas, thus making the model highly competent when it comes to long road trips.

Other notable performance and powertrain-related features of the Dashing PHEV include the following:

    • TSD dual-axle drive
    • Ternary lithium battery
    • Intelligent drive modes
    • GB/T and Type 2 charging connectors

    Slick styling

Similar to the internal combustion (ICE) Dashing version, the PHEV model sports a sharply designed exterior.

Overall, the vehicle looks well-proportioned, thanks to its three-dimensional coupe design. It sports a set of eye-catching LED fixtures and plenty of choice angular details, particularly on its lower side portions and its lower front bumper.

The most striking design detail on the Dashing PHEV, however, is its square-shaped front fascia, which is equipped with an intricate grille pattern. Over towards its rear, it bears a checkered flag tail lamp outline.

With regard to its exterior features, the model carried over most of the bits found on the Dashing ICE version. It comes equipped with a panoramic sunroof, flush door handles, power-folding side mirrors, LED welcome lamps, automatic headlamp functionality, rain-sensing wipers, and a set of 19-inch wheels.

For folks curious about its size, the Dashing PHEV is 4,590-millimeters (mm) long, 1,900-mm wide, and 1,690-mm in height. It also has a ground clearance of 185-mm, and a wheelbase length of 2,720-mm.

    Plenty of features, tech

When it comes to creature comforts and technologies, the Dashing PHEV carried over most of the ones found on the ICE model.

Inside, it boasts leather upholstery, as well as a lot of soft-touch surfaces on its dashboard and interior door cards. Everyone inside the vehicle is kept cool by an electronic air-conditioning system equipped with a second-row vent and a CN95 air-filter.

Other notable creature comforts available to the Dashing PHEV include, but are not limited to, the following:

    • Wireless smartphone charging
    • USB charging ports
    • Heated and ventilated driver’s seat
    • Power-adjust driver’s seat
    • Keyless entry
    • Push-to-start button
    • Electronic parking brake
    • Rear privacy glass

For on-board entertainment, the crossover model utilizes a 12.8-inch central touchscreen linked to a six-piece speaker system. Smartphone connectivity is handled by Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth, as well as Carbitlink.

In addition to the amenities listed above, the PHEV version comes with wood trimmings on its dashboard and a heads-up display.

Handling safety for the Dashing PHEV is a wide array of components that any buyer would expect from a modern crossover. It has anti-lock braking, electronic brake-force distribution, traction control, hill-decent control, ISOFIX, dual front airbags, as well as side and curtain airbags.

For an extra layer of safety, the Dashing PHEV likewise comes with a wide array of advanced driver-assist systems listed here:

    • 540-degree panoramic parking camera
    • Blind-spot detection
    • Lane change warning
    • Backward collision warning with rear-cross traffic alert

    Jetour Dashing PHEV Cons

    Very limited exterior color options

The Jetour Dashing PHEV only has two available color options - Icelandic White and Oceanic Blue. The two hues look appropriate for the style and appearance of the model, but buyers may want more options.

Contrary to the Dashing PHEV, the regular internal combustion-powered version has a total of five options, which include white, black, gray, blue, and red. In other words, it simply has more variety.

    Final thoughts

Overall, the Jetour Dashing PHEV is an attractive package for folks wanting to get their hands on the proven feature set of the ICE model, combined with the power and efficiency of a PHEV-powered ride.

As mentioned above, however, the aforementioned nameplate is sold by JAPI in ultra-limited numbers. Sure, it is priced reasonably at P1.95 million, but many would likely miss out on this crossover.

Regardless, the Chinese marque’s local arm has plenty of new energy nameplates available locally, such as the Dashing Lighting i-DM and the all-electric Ice Cream
