MANILA: Philippines is set to witness some innovation in its automobile sector. The new year is going to bring many surprises and opportunities in the country. The automobile manufactures are looking forward to offer best-in-class premium vehicles as per the needs of the present buyers. The Philippines automobile market is young and people want more sporty and durable vehicles. The automakers have put it into priority to offer featured cars to the Filipinos. In the new year, the automakers expect a good response from the Philippines market as well. The new year may also see some new comers bringing their new models to the shores of the country. So, We bring you top five upcoming cars in 2016. These cars are based on latest platform and offer high end performance.

Honda BR-V

Honda BR-V is complete SUV+MPV amalgamation, a introduction to a different body design in the automobile field. As per the company reports, Honda BRV will be available in three variants, namely, 1.5L S, 1.5L E, and 1.5L Prestige. All three variants will be powered by the same 1.5L power mill that will churn out a descent 120 PS at 6,600rpm and peak torque of 145 Nm at 4,600rpm. The base model will be coupled to a 6MT, while the other two upper variant will come with CVT. It is likely to cost somewhere between PhP 795,800 to PhP 916,900.

Mazda CX-3

Mazda CX-3 comes with a ‘KODO – Soul of Motion’ design. KODO is meant for motion created by instant energy burst. It is powerful and wears a sporty design with streamlined detailing all around. The interior cabin is beautifully crafted to each and every edge including well placed controls and buttons. It will be offered in 2.0 litre petrol and a 1.5 litre turbo diesel engine options. The engine comes mated to either manual or automatic transmission. CX-3 offers an array of safety equipments like Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) along with Traction Control System (TCS). Additionally, it comes equipped with ABS, EBD along with Emergency Brake Assist (EBA). A Emergency Stop Signal (ESS), also warns drivers at signals or stopping at speed.

Jaguar F-Pace

F-Pace features Jaguar's prominent body language and comes complemented with powerful power mill. The automaker hopes to deliver a good product in this competitive SUV market. The side profile is clean and imparts proper detailing throughout the body. The interior of the F-Pace comes with value-added options and gives a luxury appeal. The interior cabin and dashboard comes imprinted with meshed aluminum polish along with Satin Grey Ash. It offers a generous space to make five people accommodate comfortably. The seats are leather stitched and offers optimum comfort level with 14-way adjustments including heating and cooling features. F-Pace will be powered by a 3.0-litre supercharged V-6 gasoline engine or 2.0-litre 4-cylinder Ingenium diesel engine.

Datsun GO

Datsun Go is a value for money car that offers value-added features and services. In the front, the GO gets company's logo in the centre of the grille accompanied with the halogen headlamps.This model series will come equipped with a 1198cc petrol engine producing maximum power of 67 bhp at 5000rpm and a peak torque of 104Nm at 4000rpm. The interior offers a generous space which is better than other hatchbacks in the segment. GO also comes with an efficient suspension system that makes it smooth on rough and uneven roads. The handling and braking part is simply amazing and responsive.

The 2016 Honda Civic will be based on the 10th Generation Civic Sedan and will be offered with an optional turbocharged engine. The front profile of Civic Coupe looks like a Sedan and the A-pillar gives it a refreshing new look. The front windscreen gets more raked and blends with the roofline which is carried by the rear spoiler, giving it a elegant exterior design. From inside, Civic offers a soft-touch instrument panel along with premium quality seat fabric. It offers an array of latest features like automatic climate control accompanied with acoustic windscreen, a seven-inch display infotainment system, and a digital instrument cluster. The new Civic will be powered by a 2.0-litre inline 4-cylinder petrol capable of producing maximum power of 158 bhp and a 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine will produce 174 bhp of power output, available with upper trims.
