17 auto brands to take part in 2024 Auto Focus Summer Test Drive Festival

MANILA: The Auto Focus Summer Test Drive Festival (AFSTDF) is making a return for 2024 next week.

Scheduled from May 9-12 at the SM Mall of Asia Open Grounds in Pasay City, the latest outdoor test drive event in the Philippines brings together the country’s biggest and best brands to showcase their offerings — from internal combustion engine-powered to hybrid vehicles as well as full electric vehicles.

A total of 17 automotive brands shall join the four-day festival. They are the local arms of BYD, Changan, DFSK, Ford, Guangzhou Automobile Group, Geely, Great Wall Motor, Honda, Hyundai, Isuzu, Jetour, Kia, Morris Garages, Mitsubishi Motors, Nissan, Suzuki, and Toyota.

Sunshine Television (AFSTDF organizer) said in a statement that while many motorists are already enjoying the benefits of driving electric vehicles (such as spending less on fuel and being exempted from number coding), some remain wary on shifting towards alternative fuel-powered models as they are not quite sure about how they drive in day-to-day traffic and on the highway.

The company said that those who want to know more about electrified models in the country (like how hybrid powertrains work, range and charging times, as well as their respective warranties) may visit the booths of participating marques.

Aside from that, vehicle buyers can also compare the best deals, discounts and financing terms offered by exhibitors.

Entrance and test drives at the AFSTDF (which will be open from 11 a.m.- 9 p.m.) are free of charge.
