2018 Nissan LEAF official teaser released

MANILA: It is known that the next-gen Nissan LEAF will make its official debut in September 2017 and the Japanese manufacturer has recently released the first teaser image of its upcoming car. Nissan has released just one teaser image which reflects the new headlight of the car. From the image, it can be stated that the headlights now feature dual-projector lamps that are further accompanied with LED daytime running lights.

Apart from the teaser image, the manufacturer has not released any other detail of the car. The released image is a part of the ‘series of photos and informational briefs scheduled this summer in preparation for the global reveal of the upcoming Nissan LEAF later this year.’

It is speculated that the upcoming LEAF is inspired from the Nissan IDS Concept and will be powered by a 60kWh battery pack, which will have a longer range. The technical specifications are still kept under cover by the manufacturer but, it is expected that Nissan will share details soon. Nissan LEAF has been promoted as a competitive EV in various markets and with the updated model it will surely gain much more appreciation. But, commenting anything at this stage will be too early and waiting for a bit longer period is a wise decision.

The LEAF EV was the one that crossed boundaries and covered 10,000 mile Mongol Rally this year. With the 2018 LEAF, Nissan will keep an eye to gain some more accolades. Let’s see what Nissan has in its store for the EV lovers.
