A new Kia will be arriving in the Philippines soon, name starts with S

MANILA: Ever since Kia has joined hands with Ayala, the brand seems to be heading on the right path. It has not been long since the launch of the all-new Kia Soluto in the Philippines, and the brand is ready to introduce another offering in the country. Manny Aligada, the President of the Kia Philippines, has confirmed that there will be three more surprises for the Filipinos in upcoming times.

Aligada also gave a few hints regarding the second new car, first being the 2019 Soluto. For starters, the new offering is already a well-received car in other markets. Moreover, the name of the model starts with 'S'. Lastly, Aligada cited that the car will be launched during the 2019 Manila International Auto Show. Regarding the third new offering,

he mentioned that the car should be making its entry by the Q3 of 2019. The fourth and the last model remains a mystery as of now. For now, let’s talk about the upcoming car. Going by Aligada’s hints, Kia Soul, Stonic, and Stinger seem to be the best nominees to be the second new car in the Kia Philippines lineup.

As Kia has only two crossovers in its lineup here in the Philippines, the arrival of Stonic will make good sense. With the customer interest shifting towards SUVs and crossovers, adding another crossover in the form of the Stonic should help Kia boost its sales in the country.

Locking horns with the like of Suzuki Vitara, Honda HR-V, Toyota C-HR, and Mazda CX-3, the Kia Stonic is a B-segment crossover that was unveiled in 2017. Its name also starts with S and the crossover’s launch in Singapore recently also indicates the arrival of Kia Stonic in the Philippines.

The second candidate is the Kia Stinger, which is also quite a popular car in the markets it is offered. While the sporty Stinger does not have many direct opponents, the sedan should do more good than worse in the Philippines markets as well,

if launched. With that said, we arrive at the last candidate, i.e., the 2020 Kia Soul. The name of the crossover starts with S, and it is also a popular model abroad. Even if Kia brings both the Stonic and the Soul to the Philippines, we expect both the cars to fare well in the market.
