All-new JAC JS2 Pro enters PH crossover arena, priced at P895K

MANILA: JAC (Jianghuai Automobile Company) Cars Philippines has formally unveiled the all-new JS2 Pro in the market.

In a statement, the Chinese automaker said that the subcompact crossover — which will rival the likes of the Toyota Raize and the Kia Sonet — is eyed to meet the needs of first-time car buyers.

Per JAC Cars Philippines, the all-new JS2 Pro is “made to be one’s daily driver.”

“Whether navigating the commute going to work or setting off on weekend adventures with family and friends, this vehicle is designed to be a part of one’s everyday story. While it shares a price point with typical hatchbacks and sedans, the all-new JS2 Pro is made to be ahead than the typical. It is for those who seek a little extra in their daily drive—a car that feels special without being complicated, making every drive enjoyable and effortless,” the company noted.

Dimensions

The all-new JAC JS2 Pro measures 4,149 millimeters (mm) long, 1,750 mm wide, and 1,566 mm tall that can sit up to five occupants.

It can haul up to 150 liters of worth of cargo in the trunk while its fuel tank, as much as  42 liters of gasoline.

Exterior

Its exterior aesthetics boasts a contemporary look that comes with the following features such as:

• All-LED illumination (height-adjustable, automatic LED headlamps with a follow-me-home function, daytime running lamps, and front/rear fog lamps)
• Roof rail
• Shark fin antenna

Interior

For its cabin, the All-new JAC JS2 Pro comes with a well-appointed interior made up of a leather-wrapped multi-function steering wheel, nine-inch touchscreen infotainment system (wired Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatible), and an automatic air conditioning system.

Powertrain

Under the vehicle’s hood is 1.5-liter engine with variable valve timing function. The said mill is capable of delivering 103 horsepower and 137 Newton-meters of torque.

Sending the power to the wheels is its continuously variable transmission.

Providing its occupants a comfortable drive is its suspension system (MacPherson independent for the front, and torsion beam semi-independent for the rear).

Safety features

The all-new JAC JS2 Pro is outfitted with a myriad of technologies that include dual airbags, tire pressure monitoring, anti-lock braking system with electronic brakeforce distribution and hydraulic brake assist, electronic stability control, and hill-start assist.

In addition, it is also equipped with four parking sensors and a reverse camera.

Packaged with a five-year or 150,000-kilometer warranty and complimentary 24/7 roadside assistance for the first year, the all-new JS2 Pro is priced at P895,000.

The vehicle can also be had in any of the four available colors namely silver, black, white, and red.
