Another round of fuel price hikes set for 1st week of Jul.

MANILA: Another round of price hikes is set as we welcome the first week of July. 

Based on the announcement made by the Department of Energy, gasoline products can go as high as P0.25 per liter across the board. This includes unleaded and the premium varieties. As for diesel, it can jump anywhere from P1.57 to P3.57 per liter for both regular and diesel plus variants. 

Kerosene, on the other hand, can increase in price from P1.70 to P3.70 per liter.

For the possibility of rollbacks, there is a chance that gasoline prices can slide down by P1.75 per liter. 

Here is what it looks like at a glance:

As noted on the table, the adjustment will take place from July 7 (tomorrow) to July 13. 

“Ang mga pagbabagong ito ay nakabatay sa galaw ng pandaigdigang merkado ng langis, sa gitna ng patuloy na mga kaganapan sa Middle East na nakaaapekto sa global supply at presyo (These changes are based on movements in the global oil market, amidst ongoing events in the Middle East that are affecting global supply and prices), the DOE said in a social media post.” 

“Patuloy ang pagkilos ng Department of Energy upang mapalakas ang suplay ng langis at mapangalagaan ang kapakanan ng publiko (The Department of Energy continues its efforts to boost the oil supply and safeguard the public's welfare), it added.”
