BYD opens 6 more dealerships in PH

MANILA:  BYD Cars Philippines is covering more key areas in Luzon and Visayas with recent opening six new dealerships in the country

Such a development for the ACMobility-led automotive distributor is part of its goal to have 77 dealerships under the Chinese automaker by the end of the year.

The newly-inaugurated BYD facilities are in the following areas:

• Bacoor (Cavite)
• Sta. Rosa (Laguna)
• Subic (Zambales)
• Cebu

“BYD’s continuous and rapid expansion across the Philippines signifies the brand’s commitment to providing more Filipinos easier access to groundbreaking New Energy Vehicles and services,” BYD Cars Philippines Managing Diretor Bob Palanca said

“With the support of ACMobility’s growing nationwide EV charging infrastructure, we are on track to bring innovation and share the cost-saving benefits of sustainable mobility nationwide,” he added.

Boosting its foothold in the outskirts of the National Capital Region are BYD Bacoor, BYD Sta. Rosa, and BYD Subic.

Serving as the marque’s fourth dealership under Iconic Dealership Incorporated (ACMobility’s retail arm), BYD Bacoor boasts a six-car showroom with a vehicle-to-load (V2L) display, a café-style lounge, a 10-bay workshop, five EV chargers, and 20 parking slots.

Meanwhile, BYD Sta. Rosa (which will cater to its clientele in the Southern Luzon area) features a 10-car showroom, eight work bays, a customer lounge, and seven charging points (three 30-kilowatt [kw> DC four 7kW AC>.

Ready to meet the needs of its clients in Zambales and Bataan, the 1,754 square-meter (sqm) BYD Subic (managed by the Harmony Auto Group Philippines) has a display area that can showcase nine cars; a VIP room; LED displays; six service bays; and five units of seven-kW AC chargers. It will soon come with a 30-kW DC charger for public use.

Lastly, the BYD Cebu Central currently holds the title for being the largest BYD showroom in the country. with a floor area of 7,246 sqm, the establishment can display 12 cars in its showroom and service cars in its 14 bays. It also comes with a BYD Café and shuttle services for its customers. Located in the North Reclamation Area, BYD Cebu Central also has a floor dedicated to body repair and paint services.

The dealership also supports three seven-kW AC and a single 30-kW DC charging points. 

Per ACMobility, its two more Cebu showroom facilities — BYD Ayala Cebu and BYD Il Corso — boost the brand’s presence there. Aside from the BYD vehicles on display at both locations, two 22kW AC chargers at BYD Ayala Cebu and four 7kW AC chargers at BYD Il Corso have been installed by ACMobility for more convenient EV charging. Another 30 kW DC charger will likewise go online soon at BYD Il Corso.

Also part of the pipeline is the construction of BYD Cebu South.

“These dealership launches are only the beginning,” BYD Philippines Country Head Adam Hu was quoted as saying.

“With 77 BYD showrooms and service facilities rolling out in 2025, we’re building a robust ecosystem together with ACMobility for long-term growth, sustainability, and leadership in EV adoption nationwide, further reinforcing our stature as the Global number one New Energy Vehicle brand.”
