Chery Tiggo lineup pricing remains safeguard tax-free in May

MANILA: For the third time this year, Chery Auto Philippines has postponed its price increase despite the safeguard tariff mandated by the Bureau of Customs.

In a statement, Chery Auto Philippines President Rommel Sytin said, “The ones who want a Chery shall have a Chery—and we hope that the thousands of pesos that they could save from this program can make things light and easy.”

The major automotive brands in the country have already declared price hike, however, Chery retains its old pricing for this month.

Since the brand’s arrival in the country in 2019, the introductory prices of Tiggo lineup has remained unchanged except for the 2021 Tiggo 5x AT Luxury which received upgrades on the alloy wheel design, speakers, and air-conditioning system.

Aside from the “No Price Increase” program, Chery also provides low down payment offers, low monthly amortization promos, and exclusive cash discounts on all Tiggo variants.

Every purchase of any Chery vehicle comes with an industry-leading 10-year or one-million-kilometer engine warranty, a five-year or 150,000-kilometer general vehicle warranty, three-year roadside assistance, and free preventive maintenance service (PMS) for three years.

Sytin added, “We will continue to make the Chery experience exceptional from pre-sale, actual purchase, service, and even customer relations. We are not stopping.”
