Chinese brand to bring a worthy competitor of Model S – Tesla are you threatened?

MANILA: It has been just a couple of weeks since Tesla introduced its Model 3 in the automotive market. Well known for creating stunning electric cars, the American company seems to have a competitor now. Yes! You read it right. The Chinese auto company LeEco automobiles is all set to give a threat to Tesla with its equally stunning electric cars and we are not talking about far future here. It has been sometime now when this 12 years old company announced to build an autonomous electric car to compete with Tesla models especially the Model S but the news couldn’t stay in the headlines and like a whiff, the news was short lived.

Though, the auto lovers and critics forgot this announcement but keeping its promise, LeEco is back in the market with its latest creation LeSee Concept. The China-based company has promised to showcase its new electric concept at the upcoming auto event – Beijing Motor Show 2016 scheduled between 25th April and 4th May 2016. LeEco has built this concept in joint venture with a few companies but it would certainly carry the LeEco badge only. So, with the images floating all around the auto world, we can see a worthy competitor for Tesla Model S. The new LeEco LeSee concept would feature self-driving capabilities which can be controlled through the LeEco smartphone. Also, while driving it on autonomous mode, the steering would fold back into the dash just like other similar drives. With the front seats just like any other car, the rear seats are distinctive with stepped design so that the rear passengers may recline to comfort themselves. Two displays each at the back of front seats are given for the entertainment of the occupants.

Talking about its exterior styling, the company has not revealed much except for some pictures but, we must tell you, these pictures speak more than thousand words. The absolutely stylish structure with sweeping roofline and sporty features are clearly visible. The big glass roof is one feature which even Tesla hasn’t offered in any of its drives yet. Also, there are no rear view mirrors given and cameras would do the task instead. Topping these, are the stylish doors of the new LeEco LeSee concept which are pretty different to what we see in usual cars.

Although the company is yet to reveal about the power segment, the performance is already in the news. The Chinese company has revealed that this drive can race from naught to 100 kmph with a top speed of 209 kmph. One more relative news which is ensuring the technology by LeEco is its association with Aston Martin. The British luxury super car manufacturer has said to sign a contract with the Chinese Brand to build the electric version of the very stylish and luxurious Aston Martin Rapide. Trust us, even we are surprised! More details on LeSee autonomous car will be out after its official debut at the Beijing Motor Show 2016. Will this piece of news give Elon Musk frown lines? Atleast we are thinking!
