Dongfeng Philippines opens second local dealership in Isabela

MANILA: Chinese-based automakers Dongfeng Motor Corporation has recently opened its second dealership in the Philippines. Dongfeng Philippines opened its first auto dealership located in Cainta, Rizal under Pilipinas Autogroup Inc. (PAI) -- PAI is currently the official distributor of Dongfeng Commercial Vehicles in the Philippines. Before partnering with PAI to open a premier dealership, Dongfeng already had various dealerships in the country but still did not have an official distributor.

Continuing their goal to expand its dealer network here in the country, Dongfeng and PAI recently inaugurated their second dealership together along with the partnership of Auto Ten Trade and Services.

The new auto dealership is located in Barangay Taringsing, Cordon, Isabela. Besides being able to offer exclusive Dongfeng services, the new outlet is expected to supply residents and local businesses in Isabela with transportation such as trucks, commercial vehicles, and even buses to contribute to the development of local industries.

“We entered the market of Isabela as we recognize a lot of potential growth as business in this area is booming. From construction, hauling, and transport needs, Dongfeng trucks will provide quality vehicles backed up by after sales support,” says Cresencio Fernandez, Jr., president of PAI.

The Dongfeng Isabela dealership takes up a 2-hectare lot and includes a large showroom to showcase their models as well as a fully-equipped service bay for aftersales support. Similar to the Cainta dealership, the Isabela branch will feature Dongfeng’s lineup of commercial vehicles.

This will include the Captain trucks series, the 6- and 10-wheeler cargo trucks, 12-wheeler dump truck, and 33-seater mini bus. According to Dongfeng, they are prepared with all kinds of vehicles and models for a business’ particular needs.

They also added that they are planning on opening more dealerships in the future in high traffic locations. “Four more outlets will be soft-launched in the coming weeks to cover strategic high traffic locations,” adds Fernandez.
