Frankfurt 2015: Lamborghini Huracan LP 610-4 Spyder Premiers

MANILA: The Italian Automobili Lamborghini has present its new baby in the ongoing Frankfurt Motor Show and this baby can be said a package of power and performance.

“The Huracán LP 610-4 Spyder is the next chapter in the success story of the naturally aspirated V10 Huracán, and continues a Lamborghini tradition of open air motoring. The Huracán Spyder combines the innovation, performance and appeal of the Huracán coupé, with new technologies and an added emotional dimension. Its predecessor, the Gallardo Spyder, was the best-selling open top model in Lamborghini’s history: we expect the Huracán Spyder to exceed its predecessor in every way,” says Stephan Winkelmann, President and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini.

Using a lightweight, electro-hydraulic soft top in black brown and red, the Huracan LP 610-4 impart all emotions that come with open air-driving. Sensationalizing this experience further is a naturally aspirated 5.2 L V10 engine which deliver 618 PS of power and 560 Nm of torque. It takes only 3.4 seconds for this Spyder to rush from 0 to 100 km/h before celebrating its top speed of 324 km/h.

Opening the top takes only 17 seconds by pressing a button on the central tunnel while the vehicle is under 50 km/h. Just like the sibling coupe, it comes with ANIMA switch (Advanced Network Intelligence Management) which provides three different programs, Strada, Sport and Corsa, each of which has a direct impact on the characteristics of the engine, sound, transmission, all-wheel drive and ESC handling system.

The new Spyder features new technical traits which include cylinder on demand in combination with Start-Stop technology and new electronically controlled all-wheel drive set-up with 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox which ensure improved driving behavior. The kerb weight is said to be increased to mark at 1542 kg while the other goodies are in place only. And these include LED head and tail lights, Lamborghini Infotainment System II complemented with a 12.3-inch TFT display system, and 20-inch Giano wheels.

With price tag of PhP 9,851,152, the new Lamborghini Huracan LP 610-4 Spyder is truly hot over wheels and can be expected to roll in the beginning of next year.
