GSM officially rolls out Green SM Platform for PH, Indonesia

MANILA: The Green and Smart Mobility Joint Stock Company (GSM) has introduced the Green SM Platform for the Philippines and Indonesia. The aforementioned allows VinFast drivers and owners to become GSM service partners. 

This means that as long as you own, or even rent a VinFast and register with the Green SM Platform, one can earn income as a transport provider. 

Moreover, GSM promises that the Green SM Platform can become a serious tool for earning a stable income for those who want it. In fact, the company will use a revenue-sharing model, under which 90 percent of the fare will be paid to the driver. 

Remember, Vingroup’s energy arm, V-Green, is currently providing free electric vehicle (EV) charging until March 2029 in the local scene - this means additional earning potential for the new platform’s driver partners. And, as EVs, they will also be shielded from the ongoing instability in global fuel prices.

Green GSM, however, will have several initiatives to ensure that the drivers of the Green SM Platform can deliver high-quality customer experiences. To facilitate this, the company will provide training for those interested in signing up for the Green SM Platform. It will also ensure professional service standards and consistent quality for its rides. 

With the Green SM Platform, GSM will help address the continuously growing transport demand in the Philippines and Indonesia. Its initial lineup of cars that are accepted in the Philippine arm of the program, however, will consist of the VF 5 and Limo Green only. Locally, the program will cover a car’s registration and insurance. 

Meanwhile, in Indonesia, owners and renters of the VF 5, VF e34, VF 6, and Limo Green can sign up for the Green SM Platform and begin to operate as soon as they can finish the necessary procedures. 

“Green SM Platform is not only a step forward in service expansion, but also as a solution to accelerate the transition to green mobility across Southeast Asia,” GSM Global Chief Executive Officer Nguyen Van Thanh said. 

“By building an open platform with high service standards, we aim to rapidly increase the number of electric vehicles in operation, delivering a sustainable, modern, and reliable mobility experience for the community. This is a strategic move toward shaping a comprehensive green transportation ecosystem across the region,” Thanh added. 

VinFast VF 5, Limo Green: PH market pricing

VinFast Philippines currently retails the VF 5 at P949,000-P992,000 if bought with a battery subscription. 

At maximum, the VinFast VF 5’s permanent synchronous motor can generate up to 135 horsepower (hp) and 135 Newton-meters (Nm) of torque. The five-seater model also has a range of 326 kilometers (km), according to the New European Driving Cycle (NEDC). 

On the other hand, the VinFast Limo Green multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) is priced at P1.099 million if bought with a battery subscription. The said seven-seater can generate up to 201 hp and 280 Nm of torque, while providing a driving range of up to 450 km, according to NEDC. 

Notably, both the VF 5 and Limo Green are front-wheel-drive models equipped with regenerative braking and direct-current ports for fast charging.
