GWM gains new dealer partner to expand reach in Mindanao

MANILA: Great Wall Motor (GWM) Philippines is well on its way to expanding its presence in Mindanao with its newly appointed authorized dealer partner — FAS Motors Incorporated. 

Specifically, FAS Motors Incorporated will establish two new GWM outlets in Davao del Sur. One will be put up in Matina, and another will rise in Digos City. 

To GWM, this is a significant milestone for its nationwide dealer network as it is poised to bring its lineup of sport utility vehicles, new energy vehicles, and pickup trucks closer to more potential customers in Mindanao. 

Beyond this, these dealerships under FAS Motors Incorporated will likewise make the brand’s aftersales services more accessible to more Filipinos.

Apart from its new partnership with FAS Motors Incorporated, GWM’s local arm has recently tapped EvoXterra, which will spearhead and operate a new showroom in Bonifacio Global City (BGC). 

This partnership with EvoXterra was announced a few weeks ago, and the aforementioned GWM dealership in BGC is scheduled to open sometime in the third quarter of 2026. 

Notably, these new partnerships followed the recent appointment of Ralph Descallar as GWM Philippines’ new Dealer Network Development Director. It was reported previously that Descallar is keen on maintaining the brand’s momentum in terms of dealership network growth. 

GWM Philippines: latest launch

The latest GWM model to have entered the Philippine market was the Haval H7 plug-in hybrid electric vehicle. It was launched back in June 2026, and it currently retails at a price ranging from P1.298 million-P1.698 million. 

Propelling the PHEV sport utility vehicle’s (SUV) three variants is a 1.5-liter turbocharged inline-four gasoline mill. This is paired with a three-speed dedicated hybrid transmission (DHT) for the 4x4 version, or a single-speed DHT for the mid-spec PHEV 4x2 and hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) entry-level trim. 

In its most powerful form, the GWM Haval H7 PHEV 4x4, this powertrain produces up to 359 horsepower and 760 Newton-meters of torque. 

The nameplate also comes with plenty of amenities such as a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, 15.3-inch touchscreen infotainment display, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a dual-zone automatic climate control system, and a panoramic sunroof - among others.
