Electric powertrain
Propulsion for the all-new Honda Insight comes from a high-power, high-torque, compact drive unit and a large-capacity, yet thin battery.
Honda Motor Company Limited noted that the said electric motor — in combination with a thermal management system that maintains the battery at an optimal temperature — generates 201 horsepower and 310 Newton-meters of torque.

Per the carmaker, the all-new Honda Insight is capable of vehicle-to-load charging with the use of the Honda Power Supply Connector (dealer option accessory), allowing the EV to provide up to 1,500 watts of power, which can be utilized for outdoor activities away from home.
Exterior
Outside, the all-new Honda Insight boasts a distinctive crossover sport utility vehicle design with plenty of sharp angles and straight lines.
The overall look of the electric automobile creates a strong sense of forward thrust as if the entire mass of the vehicle is being pushed forward, to express a futuristic form for the all-new model.

It even has a grille-like trim, which makes it look like a traditional internal combustion engine-equipped crossover — ideal for those who still prefer the look of conventional cars while reaping the benefits of EVs.
To its sides are angular doors with flush front handles and neatly tucked latches at the rear doors, much like those found in the Honda HR-V here in the Philippines.
It has black wheel arches, black side sill garnishes, black wide mirrors, and black pillars. It rides on a set of modern-looking two-tone wheels.
The rear end of the all-new Honda Insight has a horizontal light bar with taillamps that mimic the look of the daytime running lights at the fore. Likewise, the horizontal grille-like appointment at the front is echoed by the trim near the hind bumper.
Interior
The cabin of the all-new Honda Insight was designed to provide a comfortable and relaxing ride not only for the driver but also for all passengers.
It gets a modern-looking steering wheel with multi-functional controls and a “Honda” script at the horn. Past that is a digital instrument cluster, accompanied by a floating infotainment screen, which we assume has both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.

The seats are swathed with leather with perforation and honeycomb-like accents. The same trims can be found on its minimalist dashboard.
Its gear shifter appears to be seated on the center console, so as controls for other functions of the electric crossover. A center armrest looks to be placed above the said console, with the rear passengers getting similar comfort amenities via a pull-down armrest located in the middle of the bench-type seats.
The all-new Honda Insight also features a large-capacity cargo area convenient for a wide range of driving situations, ranging from everyday use to weekend leisure activities.
Other notable interior features include:
- Intelligent heating system
- Aroma diffuser
- Ambient lighting
- 12-speaker BOSE premium sound system
Pricing
The all-new Honda Insight EV is available with a sticker price of ¥5.5 million or approximately P2.074 million.
