Honda clinches major Kelley Blue Book awards for 2026

MANILA: Honda Motor Company Limited’s United States (US) arm has won every mainstream Kelley Blue Book Consumer Choice Award for 2026, sweeping the competition.

Among the company’s seven honors were America’s “Best Overall Brand,” “Most Trusted Brand,” and “Best Value Brand.”

Further, the marque was also named America’s “Best In-Vehicle Experience Brand,” “Best Performance Brand,” “Best Car Styling Brand,” and “Best Overall EV (electric vehicle)/Hybrid Brand.” 

 

“Honda is an absolute standout this year in Kelley Blue Book’s Consumer Choice Awards, sweeping all of the non-luxury brand wins along with the top EV/hybrid brand honors,” Cox Automotive Senior Research and Market Intelligence Manager Vanessa Ton was quoted as saying.

“This data-driven award sweep demonstrates new-car shoppers’ high opinions of Honda on everything from trust and value to styling, performance, and more,” she added. 

To date, Honda US has won an incredible 44 Kelley Blue Book Consumer Choice Awards (formerly the Brand Image Awards), the most of any brand all-time. Notably, it has been awarded 10 coveted “Best Overall Brand” honors in the past 13 years and 12 consecutive “Best Value Brand” wins.

Honda US lineup

Honda boasts a strong lineup that appears to be curated for its customers in America with large, capable sport utility vehicles like the Prolouge, Pilot, and Passport. 

The brand also has a pickup truck in the US, which is the Ridgeline. 

While they do not offer the Honda BR-V in America, which is a family-oriented multi-purpose vehicle, they do have the Odyssey on offer.

However, they also sell some classic nameplates, which most Filipino enthusiasts are familiar with, like the Honda CR-V and HR-V. 

Finally, they also have the Honda Civic and its Type R variant, as well as the Prelude and the Accord.

Locally, Honda continues to move progressively in the industry.

Not too long ago, the brand began sales of the all-new Honda Prelude — a two-door coupe powered by a hybrid powertrain. 

Proving itself to be a worthy predecessor of the Honda Civic Type R and a true modern enthusiast’s car, it has become the choice of discerning, passionate drivers, such as influencer Macoy Dubs.

In terms of leadership, Honda Cars Philippines is now headed by Hidekazu Arai, whose focus is on the brand’s sustainability goals.
