Hyundai Project IONIQ: A Lab that's Aimed to Create Better Future
MANILA: Hyundai time and again has shown its dedication in the field of 'betterment of mobility'. Only a while back the company developed a car for the blind and how can we forget Hyundai's stunning virtual guide. Now, taking its goal a little bit more seriously, Hyundai has set up a full-fledged lab. Called the IONIQ lab, this Korean based workstation will be the centre of company's future innovations and will house all its creative and tech minds.

Who all will be the part of Hyundai’s betterment of future mobility drive?
As for the workforce, IONIQ team will work under the guidance of Dr Soon Jong Lee. He is currently working as a full-time professor at Seoul National University and also heads Korea Future Design and Research Institute team. Looks like Hyundai could not have found a better mentor for the IONIQ project. Under Dr. Soon guidance there will be ten researchers and ten consultant experts. In addition, the in-house team will work in collaboration with top academic institutions and universities. The whole team will be working directly to fulfil Hyundai's dream to create advanced mobility means that could change the entire picture of future mobility by the use of pioneering technology.
What are the set goals of Project IONIQ?
First and foremost goal of this project is to scan the future and predict the mobility need. Next, according to the set forecast the team will be building new types of vehicles that would suit the then lifestyle. Lastly, Hyundai wants to enhance the very concept of cars and discover untouched dimensions of mobility.

The said project would be creating such means of transport that will keep one connect to the outside world even while on wheels. Cars that are easy on nature and are accident-free. Plus, Hyundai under its IONIQ project will be developing mobility means that comes with the attribute of anytime and anywhere use.

Now, according to the said project the future of car industry will witness some massive revolutions that will change its entire face. The experts working under the IONIQ project have shortlisted twelve such trends that they expect would take over the car world by 2030. In the list are included changes like neo frontierism, hyper-connected society, co-evolution, eco-ism, mega-urbanisation, context-awareness based individualization, decentralisation of power, sharing society, multi-layered mash-up, anxiety, chaos, and hyper-aging society.
