Hyundai Santa Fe declared 'Supreme Winner' at 2025 WWCOTY

MANILA: The Hyundai Santa Fe has been declared the “Supreme Winner” at the 2025 Women’s Worldwide Car of the Year (WWCOTY) Awards. 

The said award, which was given to the Hyundai-made vehicle by 82 female automotive journalists from 55 countries, highlights the said model’s versatility, driving quality, design, and hybrid powertrain.

Per the judges, the Santa Fe’s interior was particularly notable for its spaciousness and its distinctive, futuristic-looking appearance. The WWCOTY likewise shared that “the comfort on board is at the level of premium cars.” 

Interestingly, the Santa Fe also beat out a whopping 80 other competitors in the large sports utility vehicle (SUV) category. In the said category, the Hyundai-made three-row model and its rivals were judged for the following attributes: 

• Safety
• Quality
• Technology
• Design
• Ease of driving 
• Performance
• Comfort
• Efficiency
• Environmental impact 
• Value for money

The 2025 WWCOTY winners in other vehicle categories include the Kia EV3 for the Best Compact SUV, the Toyota Land Cruiser (Land Cruiser Prado) for the Best 4x4 SUV, the Audi A6 e-tron for Best Large Car, the Porsche Panamera for Best Performance Car, and the Mini Cooper for Best Urban Model. 

Hyundai Santa Fe: specifications

In the Philippine market, the Hyundai Santa Fe is offered with a price ranging from P2.41 million-P3.33 million. 

The top-spec model is the Calligraphy hybrid electric vehicle (HEV), which is equipped with features such as power-adjustable captain seats, Nappa leather upholstery, dual wireless smartphone charging pads, a heads-up display, a 12.3-inch central touchscreen, and a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster - among others.
