  • With the introduction of the aforementioned nameplate, the Japanese marque’s local arm reinforces its ability to meet the different driving needs of local would-be car buyers. And even while the X-Trail e-POWER is mostly a road-going crossover, it is built with durability in mind, thanks to Nissan’s well-established engineering chops.

“The return of the X-Trail, now with e-POWER, marks an important step for Nissan Philippines as we continue to strengthen our electrified lineup,” Nissan Philippines President Yoshinori Kanazawa said.

“Guided by our long-term vision to make mobility smarter and more accessible, we are bringing technologies that improve everyday driving for our customers,” Kanazawa added.

Propelling the Philippine-spec variant of the all-new Nissan X-Trail e-POWER is a single electric motor powered by a 1.85-kilowatt-hour (kWh) lithium-ion battery. This battery pack, meanwhile, is topped up by a 1.5-liter inline-three gasoline engine.

Collectively known as the e-POWER system, it can produce up to 204 horsepower and 330 Newton-meters of torque. Power, meanwhile, is sent to its front wheels via a single-speed electric drive gearbox.

Notably, this is the same system that powers the Nissan Kicks e-POWER. It was, however, beefed up to better accommodate the significantly larger size of the X-Trail. On the other hand, its peak output figures places it high on the totem pole when compared to other locally available hybrid compact crossovers.

For its exterior, the Nissan X-Trail e-POWER dons modern styling cues that present a good balance of tough-looking road presence and just the right amount of sophistication. Specifically, the model features a large, glossy grille, sharp LED lighting fixtures, and a tall, expansive side section.

Key exterior equipment available to the X-Trail e-POWER includes automatic headlamp functionality, acoustic glass, rain-sensing wipers, a panoramic sunroof, power-adjustable/folding side mirrors, 19-inch alloy wheels, and a kick-activated power tailgate.

Here are the dimensions of the all-new Nissan X-Trail e-POWER:

Inside the Nissan X-Trail e-POWER is a five-seater layout equipped with leather upholstery, a triple-zone automatic climate control system, a 40:20:40 split-fold second row, ambient lighting, and eight-way power-adjustable front seats.

The driver, meanwhile, has access to a front cabin armrest, a 12.3-inch full digital display, a D-shaped leather steering wheel, an electronic parking brake, a drive mode selector, a push-to-start button with smart entry, and the e-Pedal Step system.

The e-Pedal Step system works in tandem with the regenerative braking to provide a true one-pedal driving experience. For the driver, this means less fatigue especially on long road trips and when driving through gridlock traffic.

On-board entertainment and navigation, meanwhile, is handled by a 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Topping up devices inside the all-new Nissan X-Trail e-POWER is done via a wireless charging pad or USB Type-C ports.

Safety-wise, the model comes with a basic passive kit that’s on par with other modern crossovers. Otherwise, it was also equipped with the latest version of the Nissan Intelligent Mobility Suite. This includes advanced driver-assist systems such as:

    • 3D intelligent around view monitor
    • e-Pedal Step
    • Intelligent forward collision warning
    • Intelligent emergency braking
    • Lane departure warning
    • Blind spot warning
    • Rear-cross traffic alert
    • Intelligent rear-view mirror
    • High beam assist
    • Driver attention assist

As of its launch at 10th PIMS, the Nissan X-Trail E-Power retails at P2.29 million at Nissan dealerships nationwide. Its color options, meanwhile, include Everest White, Stealth Pearl Gray, Sahara Dune Metallic, and Cardinal Red Metallic. To celebrate its launch, however, the Nissan X-Trail e-POWER is available in a two-tone color scheme.

Last but not least is the all-new Nissan Navara Pro Plug-in Hybrid - a 4x4 pickup truck that sports a tough, assertive exterior and is paired with capabilities that make it a good fit for both work and outdoor adventures.
