Isuzu D-Max, mu-X showcase capabilities at Overland Kings Campout

MANILA: Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC) highlighted the capabilities of the D-Max and mu-X on the great outdoors in this year’s Overland Kings Campout.

In a statement, IPC said that its participation in the event (held last February 9-11 at Crystal Beach, Zambales) using its pick-up truck and sport utility vehicle’s overlanding-ready units showcased the brand’s commitment in promoting an adventurous lifestyle.

To note, both the Isuzu D-Max and mu-X are powered by a 4JJ3-TCX 3.0-liter Blue Power engine that can deliver up to nearly 188 horsepower and 450 Newton-meters of pulling power. Such output will give its customers more confidence when they traverse any terrain.

The models used in the event were equipped with essential camping accessories like awning, roof tents, drawers, and showers.

IPC President Tetsuya Fujita expressed his enthusiasm for the event.

“This is the kind of lifestyle we want to promote to our customers – enjoying their vehicle in weekend activities like overlanding, and spending time with family and friends. We are very happy to be able to join this event and spend time with the overlanding community,” he said.

The three-day program, which was led by Joel Pedro, was packed with activities designed to foster community spirit among participants and provide a platform for learning and exchange.

According to IPC, the success of the Overland Kings Campout in Zambales with Isuzu’s active participation marks a significant milestone in promoting the overlanding culture in the Philippines. “It showcases the potential of overlanding to bring people together, encouraging them to explore the great outdoors while fostering a sense of community,” the company noted.
