Isuzu PH aids Alaminos LGU in newest mangrove rehabilitation thrust
Japanese marque’s local arm donates P300K to LGU
MANILA: Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC) recently extended assistance to the City Government of Alaminos to fund critical mangrove rehabilitation efforts.
As part of its endeavor to support environmental sustainability and nation-building, the Japanese automotive brand’s local arm handed over P300,000 to the local government unit’s Community Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) — building on the nearly two-decade partnership between the two since the adoption of a coastal area in 2005.

“At IPC, we believe our role extends beyond providing reliable products that sustain this nation’s institutions and businesses,” IPC Executive Vice President Yasuhiko Oyama was quoted as saying.
“Restoring ecosystems like mangroves is just one of the ways we give back to the very communities that support us. It’s a reflection of our long-standing commitment to help the country grow—not just economically, but sustainably and equitably,” he added.

- Backpacks
- Notebooks
- Essential learning tools
Further, IPC gave two printers with ink refills to help the school produce educational and administrative materials, ease the financial burden on families, and improve access to education in time for the new school year.
For his part, Alaminos City Mayor Arth Bryan Celeste was thankful for the assistance that IPC accorded to his constituents.

Their latest initiative assures us that meaningful public-private partnerships can drive long-term progress,” he said. “Their donations will go a long way in restoring our mangroves and empowering our students.”
Per IPC, the corporate social responsibility projects conducted reflect its values of “Responsibility to Society and Country” and align with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)—promoting climate action, quality education, and the protection of life below water.
